THESE sickening scenes are from the secret lesbian sex show video at the centre of a Ministry of Defence investigation.

The depraved film of two pretty girl soldiers performing degrading acts as drunk squaddies jeer them on was shot six weeks ago—inside a British Army tent in the heart of the Iraqi war zone.

But last night the two blondes and other troops involved—all members of the Royal Engineers—were being quizzed by the Royal Military Police Special Investigation Branch.

Top brass launched their urgent probe into the squalid show —which took place in Shaiba, near Basra airport—after the whistle was blown by an outraged soldier from another regiment.

I think we should all be ashamed of how these troops are acting. Shameful. We are being told a pack of lies about liberation but clearly we are committing crimes against humanity in Iraq, and at the same time obviously British and American troops think this is just a whoop-ass good ol' time! From what I see, there is no respect for human life in Iraq, not only no respect for the Iraqis, but no respect for themselves.

I don't get too harsh against the soldiers. Most of the front-line grunts are living a nightmare less painful than only the Iraqis. The "REMFs" -- Rear Echelon M.F.s -- are living high on the haram hog.

Bush is the bank robber in this metaphor; the troops are accessories that have been pressed into service. Specifically, Bush's accomplice, Tony Blair, ordered them to take part. I'm sure they all volunteered for the military, but who volunteered for the war?

The sex show was after-hours stuff, and for some reason (probably more stress than machismo) it's nearly universal in wartime. I don't look on it as being terrible. It's boorish and un-military and a violation of the British military code of justice, but it's not terrible.

Turning Fallujah into a modern-day Guernica, on the other hand, IS terrible.

I'm with you fully on one point, though -- home is the best place for a nation's troops to be. Even in victory, warfare is a state of failure.

But if this was consenting (and it appears that it was) and done while they were off-duty, I don't see what the big fuss is about.

It does, however, again raise the argument of co-ed situations during wartime - although I have to think that consenting acts such as these probably go pretty far with relieving stress and perhaps even preventing acts of sexual aggression towards local women that have been documented to happen during wartime.

I tend to think of abuses at Abu Ghraib and pictures of babies with their arms blown off as being a bit more sickening and depraved... but again, since I'm just an immoral librul, what do I know.
