Breaking news. Mission accomplished. Iraqi flag raised in Fallujah!
US press corpse members embedded with the military, were told to take pictures and video of the New and Improved Iraqi Flag flaying over Fallujah. It proves Mission Accomplished yet again. Really. Truly. Trust me.

This spontaneous action proved that the common man and woman in Fallujah places fool faith in the US invasion and supports the latest attack, despite the lack of water, electricity, food, medical care and the oversupply of bullets and bombs should any adult dare venture out of his house.

8. the visuals are more important than the facts.
Precisely the reason that no coffins were shown before the election.

On the other hand, even shrub and his stepford wife were shocked to the core after visiting Walter Reed yesterday. I believe it was the first time that he actually saw severely injured vets in the past 3 years.

10. estimates were between 3000 and 5,000 acccording the the miliary
INTEL!! It goes to show that we know NOTHING about guillera warefare--as we claim we do.
Sorry but i do not know what the "official" US estimate of insurgents killed or the Iraqi count----they will probably differ and both will be inflated!!
And civilians??? Our military says we do not do body counts but I recently saw an article saying the military is indeed keeping track--sorry but i cannot find that article either.

Edited on Wed Nov-10-04 10:42 AM by BJ
The Iraqi resistance are guerrilla fighters. They probably slipped out of Fallujah with the civilian exodus and will pop up in other cities.

Ain't our generals smart.

Because of the outbreaks of violence elsewhere, they simply weren't available until now.

Damn, I'm sleeping better tonight. And I'm sure, since Abu Musab al-Zarqawi slipped out of town and terrorist violence is breaking out elsewhere, Rummy'll use that as an excuse.

"Why won't those assholes line up and fight like a real army?!"

Just yesterday the discussion was, "oh no- they all got away". Now we get the photo op, which uses the failure itself as proof of success. How very neocon.

22. Before chimpy offers another premie mission accomplished celbration
Consider this -

BAGHDAD, Iraq, Wednesday, Nov. 10 - Insurgent leaders in Falluja probably fled before the American-led offensive and may be coordinating attacks in Iraq that have left scores dead over the past few days, according to American military officials here. Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the Jordanian militant who is the most wanted man in Iraq, has almost certainly fled, military officials believe. Americans say his group is responsible for attacks, kidnappings and beheadings that have killed hundreds in more than a year. Before the offensive began, some military officials said Mr. Zarqawi could be operating out of Falluja, but his precise whereabouts have not been known. "I personally believe some of the senior leaders probably have fled," Lt. Gen. Thomas F. Metz, commander of the multinational forces in Iraq, said in a video conference with reporters on Tuesday. "I would hope not, but I've got to assume that those kinds of leaders understand the combat power we can bring."
