4. From the story (lest we forget)...
If he is selected, Gonzales' Senate confirmation hearing would likely delve into what role he played in a legal opinion that defined the treatment of prisoners in Afghanistan and Iraq, which critics said contributed to the abuse of prisoners at Abu Ghraib, a charge denied by the administration.

In classified memos that were released in June, administration lawyers argued that Bush, as commander in chief, was not restricted by prohibitions on torture enshrined in U.S. law and international treaties due to the president's ``complete authority over the conduct of war,'' including interrogations.

9. My first thought
was that this nomination and the process he will go through may be one great way for the public, who have no idea about this, to become informed. Ahh, maybe not. I doubt any of that will make it onto the news desk.

10. Isn't he the guy who gave Chimp and Rummy the memo saying
torture isn't a war crime? That memo about how to treat prisoners at Gitmo led to the atrocities at Abu Ghraib.

15. We the people always get the government we deserve when an incumbent
is returned to office for his ideology, policies, actions, and his planned agenda should be known to all.

18. Yet another version of the Bush Value system.
This just shows Bush's values are only in his speeches he has none! He talks a good enough game for the Radical Christian Right to like him though. Lets look at the people who are supposed to make up our new value system just a few of them, it would take all day to go over them all.

Rush=Drug Addict
O'Reilly= Sexual harassment expert.
Cheney= Back door deal expert (translates liar)
Gonzalez(sp)=Abuse excuser and architect.
Rove=Life sucking soul sucking Vampire
Rummy= friend to foreign dictators
Education Sec= Teachers are Terrorists

Yup they represent the Values of this country! I am very sad that it has come to this. I can not believe that anyone voted for this bunch.
