Man-hating, lesbian feminazis |
|
Fellow DUers, I come here today with a confession. It shames me to say that it has become obvious to me that I'm dangerously out of touch. In all my years of living, working and playing in an urban area, travelling to different states and different countries, I have never met a man-hating lesbian feminazi.
I know many feminists - and I hope you're sitting down for this part -some of whom are not women. I know lesbians, some of whom are feminists. I don't know anyone who hates an entire gender, though I do know a few who have sworn off a gender - usually this is after being unceremoniously dumped - but it never lasts very long. I know no nazis, femi or otherwise. Would I recognize one if I saw one? Like say, would she be sporting a pink swastika? Do they only come out after dark?
Man-hating, lesbian feminazis seem to evoke fear and outrage in certain circles, and for the invective that's heaped on this elusive group, I wonder what it is they do. Do they steal straight women out of their beds at night and convert them? If they are so numerous and wield so much dreadful power, why don't they have a spokesperson? Like say, a lefty version of Ann Coulter?
Do these beings exist? Should I buy stock in toasters?
So share with me if you will your lesbian man-hating feminazi horror stories. I really need to know what I've been missing all these years.

I've never actually come across one, either, but I thought it was because, being a woman, I was unable to spot them in the wild.

5. So you haven't been recruited? Up Here in NH they have a booth at |
|
the mall. Although I am not a member, my understanding is there is a $15.00 fee to join, mostly for processing your application and the blood work to ensure you were born a woman. After that you get 1/2 price beer night on Wednesdays so you can get liquored up and beat up guys.

My dad was in New York, quite a few years back, and he held the door open for a woman who proceeded to chew his head off.

spit out the kook-aid while there is still time.
how a woman dresses has nothing to do with what is in her head.
Having been in the gay community for years, I am always amazed at how little emotion lesbians devote to heterosexual men when compared to straight women.
I cannot count how many times I have had to listen to vile remarks about men from straight women, because once women find out I'm a lesbian, they feel entitled to spew all their hatred of the male sex and it's behavior/habits, etc, because they assume since I'm a dyke therefore I must be a "man-hater".
The "man-hater" is much more likely to be the woman lying in bed next to you than it is a woman in LOVE (which is what lesbianism is based on, love of women for women, and men are irrevelent to this) with another woman.

But they are rare -- very rare.
The worst I ever got from a MHLF was a brief lecture on the proper use of the words "woman" and "girl". It was more like a comedy bit than a chewing-out.
Maybe I'm just lucky, or have an innate skill for self-camouflage, like the autochthonous hunters of the bush (as opposed to the Bushes).
It's illegal to kill them, although poachers frequently hunt them for their hides, prized as aphrodesiacs by Conservative men in journalism and talk radio.

I've gotten "feedback" from Women who insisted on being called Girls as well as Girls who insisted on being called Women -- and every combination in between. And if you think that's bad, I've known men who've wanted verbal deference far beyond my capacity to give without derisive laughter.
(And if you've taken this seriously, you've become far more serious than the post intended, especially since the punch line was about Conservative poachers. I offer half a mea culpa.)

18. I actually have met a couple of man-hating women. |
|
They weren't lesbian and they didn't at the time call themselves feminist. In each case, the women were reaching out to a feminist activist organization, NOW, even though they themselves were of the LDS faith and had thought feminists were the right hand of Satan.
They had, however, just been up against a judicial system during their divorce which either a) demonized them because they were stay at home moms and therefore couldn't retain custody of their children because they didn't have a means of financial support or b) demonized them because they had been work outside the home moms and therefore were deemed a "unfit" mothers because they didn't spend enough time with their children.
The husbands they were divorcing or who were divorcing them were held to no such standards and in the case of one, who had been having an affair during the marriage, used his girlfriend as "proof" that he could provide a good mother for their children. In each case, the husband was a "mover and a shaker" in his community, could afford high-priced sharks in suits, and had the backing of his church.
This was, for these women, their first taste of the U.S. judicial system, double-standards, and church and societal hypocrisy. A system guaranteed to create man-hating in women.

It's a paradigm, it's real, though alot of men can't handle it and resort to name calling about it.
She was brutally beaten by her husband for years, at the time I was reading her, she still had to watch her back, she was still in fear of him.

While my sympathy for her and the disgust i would have for her abuser have no bounds, being a man hater because one guy acted a fool seems completely unjustified. However, your statement was a clear attempt to justify it. Curious, indeed. The Professor

21. I met one once when I was in college |
|
She was hitting on a friend of mine when I saw them sitting together in a restaurant. I said hello to my friend who smiled and waved me over, so I joined them at the table. The femanizi looked at me with pure hatred in her eyes. When I saw the film Independence day and it got to the part where the humans asked the alien what they wanted and the response was "We want you to die", I thought, I have heard that before. She then ignored me and continued to hit on my friend, talking as though I was not present. I was very uncomfortable, so I excused myself.
I really think we need serious legislation to prevent feminazi's from making people uncomfortable. The death penalty is to kind for these perverts. It was only through a strong Christian upbringing, and faith in Jesus that I was able to escape that experience and not fall into the arms of Satan and a life of depravity. Thank you, sweet Jesus, thank you. </sarcasm>

34. Me, no. But my father would, and here is why |
|
Edited on Thu Nov-11-04 09:48 AM by kcwayne
My father is not a religious wacko, he is just your plain old fashioned cracker. He was raised by crackers. He didn't graduate from high school, and his parents didn't get beyond the third grade.
He is a small minded, uninformed, uncurious bigot. He hates minorities, foreigners, and gays. He hates women. He hates young people that don't look and act like they just got out of boot camp. He hates anybody that doesn't hate the people he hates.
He was a career enlisted military man. He never accomplished anything financially in civilian life because he was a working man. He now depends on social security, a small pension from the company he worked at for 20 years, and his Navy pension to survive. He is not poor or destitute, but finances are more of a challenge now that he needs to live in assisted care and cannot afford it.
But he would vote for Bush before Kerry because he thinks anyone who would support things like gay rights and minorities is a traitor. Even though Republicans are wacking away at his Medicare and Veterans medical benefits, which are crucial to his very existence, it means alot less to him than the idea of "letting blacks get uppity, or gays prancing around in polite society" to use his words. He looks at George Bush and sees a kindred spirit. He looks at John Kerry and Democrats and sees race traitors and faggots.

37. Well, he doesn't think he is being exploited |
|
He thinks he is marching with brothers in arms, and that his personal interests are best served by keeping minorities repressed and segregated. His view is that if there were not so many blacks and illegal aliens on welfare, he would get better healthcare and pension support.
He understands that the politicians are playing us all for chumps, and that that cannot be changed. His interest is in seeing that he gets what is coming to him from whatever breadcrumbs are left over.

And I'll tell ya, the 'man-hating' and 'feminazi' parts are way overblown. In fact, as long as you don't try to pinch them in the ass or grab their breasts, you'd probably never even notice. You'd think they were run-of-the-mill lesbians.

|
A certain pustule-assed loudmouth of our acquaintance no doubt finds it UNBEARABLE, even DEEPLY THREATENING, that a whole class of women have by definition no sexual interest in him -- so he demonizes them.
The only people I've ever heard insult men as a group are straight women -- just as straight men are far more likely to be sexist and insulting toward women than gay men.
