The Honorable David M. Walker Comptroller General of the United States U.S. General Accountability Office 441 G Street, NW Washington, DC 20548
Dear Mr. Walker:
We write with an urgent request that the Government Accountability Office
immediately undertake an investigation of the efficacy of the voting machines and accuracy of reporting of votes in Ohio and Florida. In particular we are extremely troubled by the following reports, which we would also request that you review and evaluate for us:
(1) Warren County was locked down for the counting of the votes by Homeland Security. Frank Young endorsed that the count be walled off, so as not to have a problem with the vote count. Rachel Hurtzel(?) told reporters, they were within their rights to do so. Warren County had the longest lines, and the last to close. The vote count was NOT observed. The media was locked out. Erica Solvig, Cincinnati Enquirer, originally reported this story. Erica Solvig was told that he was not allowed into the Building during the vote count in Warren County, because they office had received reports from the FBI and the Dept of Homeland security stating that the Warren County was under Terror Alert of 10, on a scale from 1-10. When contacted, the FBI and the Department of Homeland security deny giving the official of Warren County any such report.
(2) Broward County, FL, Poll Workers expressed concern that boxes of Absentee Ballots remained UNCOUNTED in the Central Storage facilities and Poll Workers were promptly escorted out of the Supervisors Office by Security after raising that concern.
(3)In Florida, only the Counties that were counted with the Optic Scanners showed major inconsistencies between number of registered voters from each party as compared to the number of votes for the presidential candidates of each party, all other Counties not counted with Optic Scanners were normal numbers matching the Democratic areas and the Republican Areas with no major swings reported.
As concerned citizens, we could ask for nothing less. Time is of the essence, and we urge you to immediately answer some troubling questions that we as citizens have. Thank you for your immediate attention to our request.
Sincerely,
|

Is perhaps the last of the good guy agencies which have uncompromised nonpartisan concern for the people of the United States. However their boss is Congress. When Congress wants to know somthing the GAO has supeona power to get the answer.
THEY ALSO SELF INITIATE INVESTIGATIONS -so ignore the nay sayers below.
The GAO can have researchers out the door in 24 hours.
PS They were stonewalled by Cheney though weren't they.

GAO undertakes investigations only at the request of Congress. They have no legal authority to begin an investigation at public request. Send a letter like this to your Rep. and Senators. It's a waste of time to send it to GAO.

7. YOU ARE BOTH 100% INCORRECT |
|
The GAO has the power to investigate under the authorization of self initiation. It is not done that often but is patently untrue that all investigations by the GAO are done soley as a request from Congress.
I only happen to know this since my wife was a GAO investigator.
Do the letter go for it.
If this is not worthy of self initiated investigation What is?

It is now the Government Accountability Office. Your information is out of date - on several points.
Name ONE GAO "self-initiated" investigation.

The GAO also self initiates investigations - PERIOD
Much of the Y2K investigations were self initiated My wife's Medicare part B reserch was self initiated. In fact more research is self initiated than it looks.
But one can look it up on their website.
There are some things I cn not tell you since the way it really works is not subject for review in a chat room such as this.
The letter is still not a bad idea.

11. GIVE ME A BREAK....JUST SEND THE LETTER OR DON'T! |
|
The important thing is that the office get the e-mail......the address is important, but not as important as the e-mail itself. Personally, I don't know what name is corrrect....I was just passing this information along to the DU members incase they wanted to try and make a difference. If you don't want to send the letter that is fine....but many of us do want to try and get this voter fraud thing investigated. The more people we e-mail and put pressure on, the better the chances of that happening. I'm just a stay at home mom with a nursing degree....BUT I THINK I CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.....and I won't let anyone tell me I can't.
