Saving Private Ryan - WCVB Boston
Well, Hearst-Argyle owned WCVB (ABC) Channel 5 has caved to the facists. They will not be broadcasting "Saving Private Ryan." I called and voiced my thoughts with the woman who answered the telephone. She agreed fully and stated to me "It's only going to get worse."
WTF is happening to our country?!

6. The Hearst-Argyle station in Milwaukee caved in as well
Instead, in honor of Veterans Day, WISN-12 will be showing "Far and Away".

Ridiculous! And it's sad that many other ABC affiliates decided to wimp out as well.

7. Some stations will air "return to Mayberry" - for our Machiavellis!
I thought it was done as a slap in the face to FCC

8. CHECK THIS REPLY OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG...The right wing talking point. SOme jerk-off posted this to their website asking for feedback on their decision. Currently 906% of Channel 5 viewers are AGAINST their decision not to air the movie. So. without further ado, read this and look at the twist and spin from the right.....

"I think that a lot of these stations are cancelling the viewing of "Saving Private Ryan" to be sarcastic and make the current conservative administration look bad for cracking donw on "indecency". I have to agree that the FCC has overstepped its bounds recently. However, to politicize the story of veterans sacrificing all for their country is a trememndous injustice to their legacy. It is time to give them their due and put aside your politics."

WHAT AN ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

10. Not just your local
but also almost all Cox cable owned channels and affiliates. From what I have read Cox executives said they had no idea what the FCC would do this time so they are going to play it safe.
