Tanks A lot!
Yesterday it was reported that a demonstration in San Diego, Ca. against the military machinations in Faluja, there were two military tanks that circled the area where the demonstrators were exercising their first amendment rights! This clearly was an act of terrorism against our peoples to say the least. When the S.D. police were quizzed if this was their doing they passed the responsibility to the National Guard. When the National guard was interviewed they passed it onto the U.S. Marines. Who in response claimed no responsibility for the two killing machines.
Here we have a clear demonstration of intimidation brought to you by the Bu$h*t Junta! This incident along with the fact that there will be 4000-combat troops stationed in D.C. for the Inaugural, Jan. 20th, is clearly sending a message to what I call the last of free America, that if you dissent in any way what so ever you will be slaughtered for your democratic believes!
My question to you is will these machinations deter you from participating in your God given rights!?
I for one will not be intimidated, my resolve will be similar to a lone Iraqi sniper in Faluja, that is doing what he has to, to defend against the invasion of his country!

2. It most likely was just a few renagade marines who disobeyed orders
and drove the tanks off base to make their point of veiw known.
Just like the few bad soldires in abu grab.

8. It was LA
They were from Camp Pendleton. They were on their way to some sort of Veteran's event. It could be somebody got lost or some guy thinking it was funny to put a little scare into the commies. But I haven't seen anything to indicate it was done by orders to disrupt the protest, especially since the protest wasn't disrupted. Facts, I really wish we'd learn to get the facts. Because if this ever does happen, nobody will believe us because we've gotten it wrong before. Frustrating.

5. Here are the facts......
It wasn't San Diego. It was in Westwood near Los Angeles(or part of).

Two LAV-25(at least that is what I and several DUers surmised form the video) sat there then drove away.

Here's a link to Indymedia with a video.

And another link with pictures and eyewitness stuff

Chilling but not exactly Tiannamen Square.

9. tanks in LA
Those are not tanks but definately APC with a twenty millimeter gun and coaxial machine gun for good measure. That makes them military and this is also confirmed by the color scheme as well as the BDU that the crew are wearing. Based on the camo scheme the crewmen are Marines. My only question is this: What the hell are the marines doing driving an armored vehicle along the streets of LA. Normally when these vehicles are moved they are transported by train or by 18 wheeler. Someone needs to find out why they where driving around LA and just happened upon an anti-war demonstration.
