I'd like to start a DU group for Barack Obama in 2008 |
|
I see there is a Wes Clark group, and I believe we should try for Obama also. Any takers

Let's give Obama time to become more seasoned.

But 2008 is too soon for him. He is about to start his first term as a U.S. Senator. It might be tough. Vice President, maybe, but President may be too fast.
This might have been one of the things that hurt Edwards. He was a one-term senator running for President. I am not sure about that.

I like Obama. I don't care if he is young or too new. What we need in a president is someone young and any race other than white. why do we keep letting OLD WHITE MEN run this country?

9. How about just a plain Obama group? |
|
He'll be doing lots of interesting things in Congress. Enough to talk about even without the expected presidency run in his future.

10. I would like to know more about him. |
|
Sounds like a good idea to start checking him out but I think we should check out others also.
I read in the NY Daily news gossip section today that McAuliffe was at a party with Bill and Hillary this week. So, we may still be stuck with him. He has friends in high places so in the end, we may again have no say so in the final decision as to who will run in 2008. The paper also speculates that Hillary will NOT run.

11. He's mine, you can't have him. |
|
At least not yet.
No he needs to focus on representing the good people of Illinois.
Wait 8-16 years or so.
