for thousands of years. Arafat's death will not change that. Nothing will change that. Pretty crappy real estate to be fighting over since the dawn of time if ya ask me.

Like him or not the man was a major historical figure. For a people who were ignored and hated and abused for decades, he gave them a sense of identity. It may be the only thing he gave them, but it's more than anyone else in the world (including other Arab nations) have ever given them.
