Can anybody point me to a summary of John Edwards' trials?

I need this to refute somebody that voted against Edwards because this person believed the hype about Edwards being an ambulance chasing trial lawyer. I think everybody knows about the one case with the little girl that was grievously injured by a defective product, but I'm looking for more than just that.

This guy is pretty intelligent, so if I give him some info, it may at least get him to look deeper in the future. Basically, this guy dislikes Bush, but hates trial lawyers more than Bush. I think his exact quote was "lowest scum of the earth."
