How about an Artist's Group?
Surprisingly, I've looked and couldn't find any mention of proposing an Artist's group!

It could center around issues facing visual artists, selling work, working full time as a professional artist, improving one's work, motivation, and how current events have influenced and inspired our art. Oh, and we could share our work, too! :)

A good mission statement might be to create a haven for progressive artists to share, relate, assist, inspire and chat. It would be of interest to all kinds of visual artists, I personally work in the comics/fantasy industry but I can relate to many kinds of artists and know that most other artists do as well. :)

So, who would be interested in participating in an Artist's Group?

1. I came across a graphics group
Does that sort of cover it? If not, count me in for a group for artists.

3. Thanks! I saw the Graphics Group
but from what I saw I think it is more aimed towards Photoshoppers and computer graphics (which is also a lot of fun, but we old fashioned types could use our own place to talk too. :)

Computer to make images and then use them for hands on finished pieces. So an artists group would be great - if you'll have me!

Edit - Do you belong to this site? It's really great for art of all kinds. Thought to mention it since the people are fantastic. http://wetcanvas.com/

7. can we expand the definition?

To include musicians and performers? I think that artists of all kinds face a unique set of challenges living in a police state.
