raw footage of battle in fallujah
I am not sure about this source, www.I-am-bored.com, but it looks authentic. could be anywhere, I guess. No graphic images, meaning no bodies, but very intense, IMO. Not sure if this is old or new. I post with some trepidation, but felt moved to make sure someone else sees it too.

1. Damn
They sure don't mess around, do they? That looked eerily similar to the last scenes of Full Metal Jacket. Its just horrible to see how the area gets destroyed. I am still wondering how the people in that area were supposed to somewhere else. Where could 250,000 people go? And what are they accomplishing when the insurgents move around?

2. whatever it is and whenever it was shot

it's not at all different from what's happening right now in Falluja. Looks pretty real to me.

Also it makes us think about what it's really like over there. Very depressing to imagine those poor people having to live through this daily/nightly horror.

edit:typo

3. I think about it every night
As miserable as I am over this wretched administration lying and cheating their way back into power, when I sink into bed at night I think about what life is like for the Iraqis.

I don't think there can be a moment of peace for anyone with a conscience, not as long as these murderers and thieves occupy our government.

4. I also worry about when our soldiers do come home, finally.
After living like that for who knows how long. and you know they see much worse too, that is very sanitized in terms of the results. I shudder to think of what those kids saw after they (or another troop) went into those bombed out buildings to 'secure' them.

War language is coded to keep us distanced from the horror, it is hard to remember what it all really means, but important.
