Arab conspiracy theorists think the U.S. is destroying Iraq and Iraqis
there are some real kooks over there, how could they possibly believe that the U.S. is destroying Iraq and Iraqis?

BEIRUT, Lebanon (AP) -- The chilling video of a U.S. Marine shooting and killing a wounded and apparently unarmed man in a mosque in Iraq dominated the Arab world's media Wednesday, overshadowing the slaying of a British aid worker who had been kidnapped by Iraqi insurgents.

The U.S. military said it was expanding its investigation of the Marine shooting in Fallujah to look into whether other wounded men in the mosque were also shot and killed. The probe will try to determine whether the Marine acted in self-defense.

The shooting was played and replayed in Arab media, debated and portrayed as "evidence" of what many Arabs believe: that the United States is destroying Iraq and Iraqis.

Frames of the Fallujah shooting appeared on many newspaper front pages Wednesday, and Arab satellite stations repeatedly aired the footage taken by an American television crew.

1. They're just busy
picking flowers so they can hand them to our troops.

At best there will be 10x more extremists than there were before we started in Iraq.

7. Those Arabs are so misguided....
They apparently don't have access to the American media - which would set them straight in no time and have them throwing those long-overdue rose petals in our path. We're not destroying their country. We're killing only people wearing t-shirts labeled "insurgent" - in English - and destroying only buildings with signs painted on the roof reading "insurgents hiding here - ok to bomb" - again in English - for the convenience of our troops. How dare those ungrateful Iraqis think our intentions are less than honorable.

10. Fallujah: Population 300,000
To put this into perspective, the US has destroyed a city of 300,000 for maybe 2000 "insurgents"

Here are a list of US cities with a similar population
http://www.demographia.com/db-city2002.htm
I believe this is city proper data.. not suburbs.

Pittsburgh
Cincinnati
Tampa
Toledo
Raliegh
Buffalo
Aurora
St Paul
Corpus Christi
Newark
Birmingham
Norfolk
Madison

Imagine the entire population being forced out and their city destroyed. Whether the US was justified or not I'm not going to say but if you stand in these people's shoes, the US is their enemy now and will be for generations.

11. Well, they can say that, and they may have videos, and maybe
they've read the PNAC plans...

But where's their proof?
