When the crap starts to hit the fan, Bush will start appointing Democrats.
..to share the blame for his world-shattering disaster of a presidency. "We are working with both sides of the aisle to try and resolve these problem...." ...I can hear it now. He may put a couple of Democrats in his Cabinet, just to prove his point. If the Democrats were smart, they would stay as far away from this disaster as possible. They should not share any of the blame. But that may be a little much to ask from those toadies...

3. Joe Lieberman will be happy to oblige.
If he does, the Party should strip him of his membership. The time for bi-partisanship is long gone.

Edited on Thu Nov-18-04 11:36 AM by notadmblnd
It could have been LBN but it said that bush may name a Democrat to a cabinet post, I can't remember wich one it was though, housing maybe?
on edit: here it is..

Nebraska's Democratic Senator Ben Nelson has been approached by the Bush administration to be the new Agriculture Secretary. Republican Governor Mike Johanns would get to choose Nelson's replacement.

7. Right on the money. I seriously hope the "make-nice" talk...
Edited on Thu Nov-18-04 11:50 AM by Unstuck In Time
... we've been hearing from dems is just that: talk.

I'm not optimistic, though. Do any of our party's leaders have even the hint of instinct for strategy? I have serious doubts.

It's time for them to sober up and Play the Game for now. Let's let the repugs have COMPLETE ownership of the Bush disaster.

8. Never happen
for the same reason that bush* can't admit making a mistake - It would be taken as a sign of weakness, and for them, weakness is a sign of immorality.

That's why bush* spoke so much about how much "hard work" his job entails. "Hard work" builds strength and strength is moral.

9. Any Dem that considers should take the McCain approach
and say, 'No, thanks. I'm proud to be a Democrat, want to stay a Democrat, and believe I would be most effective working within my party.'

10. Democratic appointees would be ineffective.
Bush would be looking for people who would follow his mandates. If they tried to effect meaningful change, it would get slapped down.

How about the other approach?

I will not be party to Imperialist Religious Fascism. Shove your appointment ..... buttwad.

Unfortunately, he declared war on us during the last election. We will only get sucker punched again.
