$800000000000 in new debt for Bush |

Raise the Roof! (Senate Adds $800,000,000,000 in Available Debt) How would ol' Tennessee sing it?
"You watch as rebels unload 380 tons (of explosives) and what do you get? Another day older and $800 billion deeper in debt. St. Peter don't you call me 'cause I can't go I owe my soul to the Chinese/Japanese/South Korean money lending store."
The AP reports that yesterday the Senate voted 52 to 44 to raise the debt ceiling for the U.S. government ... again. With the cost of military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan increasing and an economy that's about as consistent as Ben Affleck's acting the Treasury Department saw fit to ask for an extra $8 billion in wiggle room. This move was necessary to make sure we as a nation don't default on the several trillion dollars in loans we already have.
Bush has said he is committed to cutting our deficit in half during his second term. We at Orange Otter are also committed to this goal, as well as perpetual motion, aviator pigs, and turning lead to gold.
