Max Cleland for party chair |
|
If Dean can not be party chair I've heard this at another forum that they are suggesting Max Cleland. Is that a good or bad idea? I figure Du'ers would be able to answer this question.

6. DLC is causing a lot of problems |

Reference story in 11/17 edition of NYTimes, with Al From suggesting that Democrats "get religion." I almost fell out of my chair! No, what the DNC/DLC need to do is get their heads out of their butts and start acting like real Democrats, stand up for their convictions and fight back!

2. I would support Max! He's a good man, and just angry enough to |

do a great job! Of course, I may be a little predjuiced since I live in Ga.! Max is a really good guy, and I know he wouldn't pull the BS of forgivness trick that McCain did.

4. Why wouldn't he be allowed? |
|
I think he would be SUPERB! He's intelligent, modest, and a genuine American hero. He has also been through Hell and isn't afraid of anyone. Remember his visit to Crawfish TX, when Commander WetDiaper wouldn't go to the gate to greet him? Max would be terrific.!

This is Goddess40's mom. I live in Wisconsin so we had a lot of politicians passing through our area. I personally met Valerie Harper, Carole King, Tom Vilsack, Vets for Kerry, Dog Hunter Vets for Kerry, Howard Dean, Elizabeth Edwards, CIA Agent Ray McGovern, Howard Dean's brother, Jim and Max Cleland. (I'm sure I missed some.) We held a gathering at our house for WI Congressman Dave Obey who spoke on behalf of Kerry. I attended rallies by Kerry (2), Edwards and Dean (3). I was most impressed by Howard Dean and Max Cleland. Both are intelligent men who speak simply, clearly and with passion. Both relate well to everyone with warmth and respect. I prefer Dean for Dem chairman but wouldn't shot myself if Max got it. Love them both.
