You can't have it both ways. We signed the Geneva Conventions for very good reasons. So if you say you support the troops, it's your patriotic and humanitarian duty to support the Geneva Conventions. Apologizing for war crimes and pretending they didn't happen does a disservice to all of the troops you pretend to support.

Not everything is black and white. But this is.
