Karmazin, new CEO of Sirius is a Democratic candidate donor.. |
|
but Chairman of Board of Directors Joe Clayton donates to Republican congressmen (Issa, someone else).
I always recommend Sirius. I have had it for a year, and have enjoyed Air America's being on 24/7 (Unfiltered, Franken, Rhodes, Majority Report, Malloy) (unlike XM, which only has one show). I also get Sirius Left (Hartmann, Samuels, Schultz, Combs). Quite a variety.
And Howard Stern will help Sirius become even more of a success, even though I'm not a fan of his material aimed at young men.
Should I be upset that the CEO donates to Rethuglicans? I've been Sirius's biggest fan, and it certainly seems like they care about free speech. Not a good sign that he's a Repub, though. Might be susceptible to pressure to censor.

1. After giving Stern $100 Million, he ain't going to censor |
|
That company is barely surviving. They've pretty much bet the company's future on Stern. I can't imagine the CEO would censor him after doing that, unless he is suicidal.

3. Thanks for the replies, guys. |

That's a good point - I know that Howard will not be censored. I'm more worried about Randi or Malloy, who, although employed by Air America, might get pressured indirectly.
