9 Quarantined in Texas Amid SARS Worries

Jul 11, 6:47 PM (ET)

ABILENE, Texas (AP) - Six airmen and three of their relatives have been quarantined in Texas after some reported respiratory problems similar to SARS, officials said.

A group of military personnel passed through the Toronto airport recently, and some reported mild to moderate respiratory problems earlier this week after returning home, said Capt. David May of Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene.

2. This will end up like the other suspected Sars cases blamed on Toronto!!
NOT SARS!...CNN has been reporting these "suspected" SARS cases regularly since it was first in Toronto...They always end up not being SARS...Meantime it does more harm to the Toronto tourist industry!!!...Sars was never loose in the city...All cases were confined to the hospital....

3. The health minister for Toronto went ballistic about this
He said that the odds of this actually being SARS are about 1/1000th of one percent. But anytime somebody goes through a former SARS hotspot and gets the sniffles, people get excited.

There was a story on Drudge earlier this week about some people with "flulike symptoms" on a plane who were briefly quarantined in Philadelphia.

People are just very jumpy about this but the odds are infinitesimal that it's really SARS. It's just clickbait...

4. The trouble is it has had a devastating effect on Toronto's tourism
and CNN never reports later that...it wasn't SARS after all!...Many people heard the report and have been turned off Toronto AGAIN!!...It's no wonder the Toronto medical people are angry!
