.. that Madeline Allbright thinks it is a good idea to let foreign nationals run for *president*. Is this true? Is she signing on to the Arnold for prez thing?
God, is there no one who are (supposedly) on our side willing to stand their ground and fight the good fight or are we just wrong?

1. Being foreign-born herself, she should support the idea |
|
Me personally, I'm OK with this idea - the presidency is not a sacerdotal office. It is a job.

3. If it's just a "job" then we should be able to "fire" the CIC. |
|
Hell, with his perfomance appraisal, why is he still there? Who rated this guy? Rove?

break free. I don't recognize my country anymore. I don't think there are enough of us left to fight the fight at home, let alone around the globe. One party system and theology is just a short time away and then they will come and get me. Might be a good thing to be put out of my misery. I weep for what we've lost and what might have been. For the first time in my life, I'm thankful I never had children.

I'm avoiding the news- I know that's probably not good-I'm focusing on things that will hopefully improve my life in other non political ways- Wish I had an answer for you- It really sucks- It doesn't help that some have left up the Chimp signs as a sort of in your face thing- Ugh

7. No Amendments to the U.S. Constitution whatsoever. |

It should not be changed. I don't want a Saudi Prince coming over here with a duel citizenship running for President with his whole country's treasury behind him.

9. I don't see what the big deal is... |

If 38 states ratify, AND a foreign born candidate makes it far enough to actually gain 270 electoral votes, then so what? So what if the candidate was born in Milan instead of Waco, Austria instead of Tuscon? Seriously, I don't undertand the objection. Are you afraid of some kind of Manchurian candidate from over seas? If anything, odds are that would be an improvement from the liberal perspective, considering the current state of our policy and so-called culture. I'm not going into the streets over this one. This is a non-issue.

11. Jennifer Granholm for President |
|
The Arnold talk is just a sneaky way to have the Republicans go along with a measure to get Jennifer Granholm electecd President down the road.
