Rant rant rant
Edited on Mon Nov-22-04 09:15 AM by eleonora
What is wrong with people? Why can't we all live in peace, allowing different religions to coexist peacefully? Why is it that if I say this some will think I'm a hippy and will look down on me like I don't know how the world turns? Problem is, I DO KNOW and it's sickening me.
And politics. Why is it you republicans should tell me how to think? How is it that you should try to make me believe this is a land of freedom? IT IS NOT. As soon as you say something against the 'establishment' you will be persecuted and financially too, so you can be crushed. If you own a small business you might as well shut up. Or wait, if you have a JOB you should shut up too because damn, who wants to lose their job in such a difficult economy??

When is the last time you saw the corpse of a US marine rotting away on American TV? So maybe that you can THINK TWICE about the realities of war? They (the marines) say it is nothing like the movies. WELL DAMN, it must be. I am outraged at this country, and I love it so much too. What a conflict. It is nothing like what it was founded on. And I have friends fighting a war based on lies. The "terrorists" in Iraq are you and me if you were invaded by foreigners and your family and friends died because of some stupid "precision" bomb. And what infuriates me most is that GOD is supposed to BLESS THE TROOPS and AMERICA.

GIVE ME A BREAK.

If you believe in God, Whoever He is, whatever His name is, I HOPE you're asking for forgiveness too. Because what the terrorists do is what God will have to settle with them. It is NOT for you to judge.

The difference between CNN and Al-Jazeera is this:

CNN gloats about the latest killing technologies available to our troops.
Al-Jazzera shows the bombs landing on innocent civilians.

Greed rules this world. Forget about "democracy", if they repeat the lie often enough, it becomes reality.
And our Republican friends? You believe God is with you and you alone. I hope for you God is understanding enough to forgive your mistake.

1. Greed has always ruled the world
Yes, it is frustrating sometimes, but that is the nature of man. Most of the people I know who voted for bush says they did it because they will vote for "whoever puts more money in my pockets". They don't realized that they are losing money by other means, but they are so enchanted with the so-called tax cuts, to understand that they got scammed.
We, as a species, have not gone too far from beating each other over the heads with clubs for shiny things. Humans are far from being civil to each other and this is not going to change soon. We can only do what we can each do and if people call me a hippie or a liberal for my way of thinking, I smile and tell them "always have been and always will be".
It is written that "The greed for money is the root of all evil", but as long as the larger percentage of humans feel that cash is more important than compassion we will never become an evolved society and we will continue to reap what we sow.
