I need Rush quotes to send to ESPN
It might be too late but I think that Berman and Yound and Jackson and Michael Irvin need to be aware of who is sitting beside them.

Particularly his racist quotes.

I've noticed on the commercials Rush is at the opposite end of the desk from Michael and Tom.

com on I'll find their e-mail addresses and post those too.

8. The Nazi song is a parody...
but I can't speak for the authenticity of the quotes on Bartcop.

But the "I'm a Nazi" is a MUST-download for anyone who hates Pigboy...it has got to be a classic! I fell down laughing when I first heard it.

6. I totally agree
I had emailed them an rant about lardass when they first announced this, but got the standard reply. They don't give a rat's behind what we think. But it never hurts to keep trying. I've already made it clear that NFL Countdown will not ever be on our TV at home prior to Sunday's games - and it used to be our religion every Sunday. Not any more.

BTW...does anyone know what happened to Sterling Sharpe and why he was replaced with that drugged out hasbeen, Irvin???? Inquiring minds want to know.

Thanks.

That would make things a tad uneasy.

11. Here's one!
I heard the sow one morning talking about Sharpton and he kept saying, "Ax Me, go ahead, ax me", making fun of the way some blacks pronounce the word "Ask". He literally makes me sick.
He is a fantastic example of the republican party, along with Hannity and Coulter.
Repubs can't get their point across unless name calling is involved.

12. Here are some pretty pathetic quotes.
http://www.fearbush.com/forums/index.php?act=Print&client=printer&f=16&t=1703&

QUOTE
"One of the things I want to do before I die is conduct the Homeless Olympics... the 10-meter Shopping Cart Relay, the Dumpster Dig, and the Hop, Skip and Trip." (L.A. Times, 1/20/91)

On NAFTA: "If we are going to start rewarding no skills and stupid people--I'm serious, let the unskilled jobs, let the kinds of jobs that take absolutely no knowledge whatsoever to do--let stupid and unskilled Mexicans do that work." (Radio show quoted in FRQ, Fall/93)

Speculating on why a Mexican national won the New York marathon: "An immigration agent chased him for the last 10 miles." (USA Weekend, 1/26/92)

This is asinine! A Caesar Chavez Day in California? Wasn't he convicted of a crime?" (Quoted in FRQ, Winter/94)

"Kurt Cobain was, ladies and gentleman, I just--he was a worthless shred of human debris..." (TV show, 4/11/94)

"When a gay person turns his back on you, it is anything but an insult ; it's an invitation." (Quoted in FRQ, Summer/94)

"Feminism was established to allow unattractive women easier access to the mainstream." (Quoted in FRQ, Summer/93)

"Militant feminists are pro-choice because it's their ultimate avenue of power over men.... It is their attempt to impose their will on the rest of society, particularly on men." (Ought to Be, p.53)

"Why is it that whenever a corporation fires workers it is never speculated that the workers might have deserved it?" (Ought to Be, p.275)

Bigot....
QUOTE
LIMBAUGH: Praising Strom Thurmond for calling a gay soldier "not normal": "He's not encumbered by being politically correct.... If you want to know what America used to be--and a lot of people wish it still were--then you listen to Strom Thurmond." (TV show, 9/1/93)

REALITY: In the America that "used to be," Strom Thurmond was one of the country's strongest voices for racism, running for president in 1948 on the slogan, "Segregation Forever."

misogynist....
QUOTE
LIMBAUGH: "Women were doing quite well in this country before feminism came along." (Radio show, quoted in FRQ, Summer/93)

REALITY: Before feminism, women couldn't even vote.

feminism was established to allow unattractive women easier access to the mainstream of society

Makes up lies......
QUOTE
LIMBAUGH: "Now I got something for you that's true--1972, Tufts University, Boston. This is 24 years ago--or 22 years ago. Three year study of 5000 co-eds, and they used a benchmark of a bra size of 34C. They found that the--now wait. It's true. The larger the bra-size, the smaller the IQ." (TV show, 5/13/94)

REALITY: Dr. Burton Hallowell, president of Tufts in the '60s and '70s, had "absolutely no recollection" of such a study, according to Tufts' communications office. "I surely would have remembered that!" he exclaimed. Limbaugh's staff was unable to produce any such study. A search of the Nexis database--while revealing no evidence of a Tufts study--did produce a number of women theorizing that the presence of large breasts caused a lowering of IQ in some males.

Just plain ignorant.....
QUOTE
LIMBAUGH: "There are more American Indians alive today than there were when Columbus arrived or at any other time in history. Does this sound like a record of genocide?" (Told You So, p. 68)

REALITY: According to Carl Shaw of the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs, estimates of the pre-Columbus population of what later became the United States range from 5 million to 15 million. Native populations in the late 19th century fell to 250,000, due in part to genocidal policies. Today the U.S.'s Native American population is about 2 million.

You can find these over at FAIR- http://www.fair.org/press-releases/limbaugh-debates-reality.html#sec1.1

They also have a section in which Rush "fires" back at them. Then they prove him wrong some more. Good stuff.

Here are some more racist quotes...

QUOTE
As a young broadcaster in the 1970s, Limbaugh once told a black caller: "Take that bone out of your nose and call me back." A decade ago, after becoming nationally syndicated, he mused on the air: "Have you ever noticed how all composite pictures of wanted criminals resemble Jesse Jackson?"

In 1992, on his now-defunct TV show, Limbaugh expressed his ire when Spike Lee urged that black schoolchildren get off from school to see his film Malcolm X: "Spike, if you're going to do that, let's complete the education experience. You should tell them that they should loot the theater, and then blow it up on their way out."

In a similar vein, here is Limbaugh's mocking take on the NAACP, a group with a ninety-year commitment to nonviolence: "The NAACP should have riot rehearsal. They should get a liquor store and practice robberies."

When Carol Moseley-Braun (D-IL) was in the U.S. Senate, the first black woman ever elected to that body, Limbaugh would play the "Movin' On Up" theme song from TV's "Jeffersons" when he mentioned her. Limbaugh sometimes still uses mock dialect -- substituting "ax" for "ask"-- when discussing black leaders.

QUOTE
In 1994, Limbaugh mocked St. Louis for building a rail line to East St. Louis "where nobody goes." East St. Louis is home to roughly 40,000 residents -- 98 percent of whom are African-Americans. One of its 40,000 "nobodies" is star NFL linebacker Bryan Cox.

Once, in response to a caller arguing that black people need to be heard, Limbaugh responded: "They are 12 percent of the population. Who the hell cares?" That's not an unusual response for a talk radio host playing to an audience of "angry white males." It may not play so well among National Football League players, 70 percent of whom are African American.

14. Here are the ones I sent them (apologize if some are dupes)
They sent me an auto-response, nothing more. I think some of these were posted before, but I just wanted to include what I sent and the fact that they refused to respond, which pisses me off. Further, I always (used to) order their college football package, but I didn't this year.

If you are a Michigan Alum, you might also point out that he excoriated the University during the affirmative action suit.

Quotes:

"Feminism was established to allow unattractive women easier access to the mainstream."

"The difference between Los Angeles and yogurt is that yogurt comes with less fruit."

"Let me leave you with a thought that honestly summarizes my sentiments: I love the women’s movement. especially when I am walking behind it."

"There are two groups of people that have made environmentalism their new home: socialists and enviro-religious fanatics. With the collapse of Marxism, environmentalism has become the new refuge of socialist thinking. And the second group are the people who believe it is a religion; that God is the earth and that God is nothing more than the earth. Actually, it is a modern form of pantheism, where nature is divine. This group wants to preserve the earth at all costs. They want to roll us back, maybe not to the Stone Age, but at least to the horse-and-buggy era."

"Now I got something for you that's true--1972, Tufts University, Boston. This is 24 years ago--or 22 years ago. Three year study of 5000 co-eds, and they used a benchmark of a bra size of 34C. They found that the--now wait. It's true. The larger the bra-size, the smaller the IQ." (BTW - it's not true. This was debunked.)

"One of the things I want to do before I die is conduct the Homeless Olympics... the 10-meter Shopping Cart Relay, the Dumpster Dig, and the Hop, Skip and Trip.

"This is asinine! A Caesar Chavez Day in California? Wasn't he convicted of a crime?"

If they were for peace, they would give every dollar they raise to the U.S. defense department because it's the U.S. defense department that keeps the peace and liberates the oppressed in the world and gives them the opportunity to have freedom, which is what we want for Iraq. It's beyond me how anybody can look at these protesters and call them anything other than what they are: anti-American, anti-capitalist, pro Marxists and communists.
