2. I'll be watching! I think we are the most over-medicated!
I'm all for wonder drugs for serious diseases, but because of all the ads, the American people have been conditioned to believe there's a magic pill for everything! The drug companies have been pushing this for years, and many times, a plain old asprin will work just as well as the newest designer drug.

I'll be interested to see what Lou has to say aobut it.

4. Now they're pushing body part transplants!
I kid you not...I saw an advertisement for knee replacements today.

If you didn't have ENOUGH to remember to ask your doctor ("hey doc, here's a list of pills I want...GIMME GIMME GIMME"), now you've got to remember to ask if it's time to exchange that worn out kidney!

5. A pharmacist told me
that if aspirin were to have been invented this past decade it would be rx only b/o the wide range of uses and the much missed huge profits by the pharmaceutical companies.

6. He's absolutely right.
As our choices diminish in making a difference in this nation, a glass of wine or a sleeping pill at bedtime seems to become necessary coping mechanisms.
