These freeper meltdowns are real!
Look another freeper meltdown post over Mental health screening of kids. They are freaking out just as bad as we are on this. The fact that we at Democratic Underground are freaking out and the freepers are freaking out just as bad as we are MEANS THIS IS A REALLY F'CKED UP.

This is inherently dangerous: A parent wishing to deny testing would be called unfit and lose control of their child/children. Once tested, children who believe such beliefs that defy current norms (i.e., they are believers of Christ, or Judiasm) could be classified as mentally unstable and if their parents refuse them 'treatment' (brainwashing) they could stand to lose their child/children. It's coming, folks.

Yes, it was already posted, but this is too important an issue to let slip by unnoticed. I am normally loathe to use the ping list except for Fridays but this proposal is absolutely chilling. Its not just the pharms that would like to see this pass; I bet teachers unions are smiling at the thought of schools full of zoned out, malleable children.
We can't let this happen, folks.

I read about this several months ago, but I didn't take it seriously. Now I'm starting to worry. It gives me a cold feeling in the pit of my stomach because I would be one of those parents that would refuse to allow my daughter to be tested.

5. actually I've been focusing more on the election fraud then anything
Been to busy with that to even think of looking over there. I just saw the one post that another Du'er over here posted linking to their thread over there. This is the only other thread I looked at over there just to see if it was a troll over there or are they really in meltdown mode over this. The fact remains if these people are just as scared as we are then that means this extends beyond party. This is something that threatens America.

These people are usually idiots who are 100% loyal to Bush. They feel just as threaten by this as we do and you're saying that two post mean spending to much time over there. Nah, I think it means we have something that we truly must fight for. There are already post here at Democratic Underground talking about this and Du'ers are just as scared on it.

6. it just makes me wonder
there is that little phrase about mental illness (that is almost untranslateable, on purpose)on the Florida ballot, and if the voter either checks, or doesn't check the box, they can't vote (I saw this on the Daily Show, couldn't quite figure it out...)

I just wonder if at it's heart these policies don't have to do with voting rights.

I know he's looking for a boon for his pharma buddies, but still, to whack down public monies for mental health care at every opportunity, and then still try to declare people mentally unfit? It doesn't make sense, since they aren't going to have health insurance, and they aren't going to be able to afford the anti-depressants and mood stabilizers...what gives?

7. Don't treat your kids for medical problems
and the "State" will have an excuse to take them away for child abuse/endangerment and the "State" will make sure they get the treatment your kids "need", while also schooling them for the future.
