The Apathy of Republicans ?
OMG, I sent an email to my republican brother re: the mandatory mental health screening initiative asking him to spread the word, along with a link to a video that explains the whole Neocon agenda, and he COMPLETELY ignored it! He sent me back an entire email filled with details of how their Christmas tree has 1500 lights, holiday plans, etc. Did not even acknowledge my mention of anything political. This guy has two kids still in school and 1 of draft age, and 2 who will be.

To say I am miffed is to put it slightly. But I am also speechless and don't think I will even answer his mail -- at all, ever. First, it's rude not to even respond to what I (or anyone else who would write you an email) think is very important (namely the fact we're screwed as a country), second, don't these people have the least clue as to WTF is going on? Don't they care? Or do I just come from a majorly screwed up family?

This is so disheartening. In my heart I know I am right to feel as I do, but how the hell did I get born into such a selfish and apathetic family?? Can anyone relate? I almost feel like it's all a lost cause.

2. because you tied the mental health screening issue to....
the neo-con stuff he disregarded it ALL because conservativs (My family are conservative too) don't believe what they call the "liberal spin" on conservativism. My family wont even listen either. Your bro just didn't want to argue (apparently) so he changed the subject.Sounds just like my sister (who i dearly love).
