That the Bush administration held off the Fallujah offensive until after the election, knowing that it would turn off voters?
I wonder how the families of those 137 dead feel, living with the suspicion that some of those deaths might not have happened if military strategy wasn't made subservient to political exigencies?

I'd like to see a chart which shows the number of fatalities in Iraq(American troops). I'd like to see if there is a trend there. Is the line moving up? Are fatalities steadily increasing? What about injuries? I read last week that there are 30,000 (!) injured soldiers in a German hospital. This is a staggering, unbelievable figure. That translates to a 20% loss of troops.
