Court ordered mental eval. testing and they asked him WHAT?
I just got off the phone with my best girlfriend in Nebraska. Her son is 17 and the past year, year and a half he's been in some minor trouble with the law. Two disorderly conducts and a petty theft charge and was given 40 hours of comm. service, a fine, and is still on probation. Her son finally realized he better change his ways and during this past year has become an almost straight A student and is now the captain of the school band. Minding his curfew and working part time I'd say the young man was doing quite well. Not that he was a "hard core" case to begin with.

Recently he was the passenger in his buddies pick-up going faster than they should be, teenage boys imagine that. A cop attempts to pull them over and the buddy decides to try and evade the police. Once the driver realized he couldn't shake the cops they stopped, jumped out and ran into some fields. They get caught.

The court ordered my friend to take her son to a "behavioral" clinic in Scottsbluff because as the Judge said, he probably needs to be put on medications because it's obvious the boy has major problems and is out of control.

Here's just a few of the questions the clinic asked, get this shit.
Are you a homosexual?
Have you ever engaged in anal or oral sex with another male?
Do you fantasize about boys or men?
Do you believe in god?
Do you attend church?
:wow:

:wtf: What the hell? Even if he did have some "emotional" or "mental" problems, they have no business asking those kinds of questions.:grr: Being gay is certainly no indication of having a criminal mind with emotional or mental problems in need of medicating to "correct" said behavior. And it's also none of their damn business what religion or faith anyone is, or isn't.

This shit has gotten WAAAAAAAAAAY outta hand in this once free country and it's getting worse and worse. It's fucking sickening! :puke:

1. Two posts on this in last day. Guess what the questions will be
on the mandatory mental health screening exam?? Looks like some of the "mentally pure" are jumping the gun.

4. you are right, being gay is not a mental disease
but hating yoursaelf and acting out because you are gay in an unfriendly world is. And going to a screwed up church is also going to mess with your mind. Were these the only five questions they asked/. or were there more like a hundred? things like: do you like school? do you have a girlfriend? do you have a good relationship with your parents? do oyu liek breaking things? when teenagers act out, it's either because they were spanked (apparently) or because something is wrong in their owrld. They ask questions to ge tto the bottom of this. I remember as a teenager in college taking a friend to the health center with astomach pains. one of the questions was "are you pregnant?" she was offended, being a good catholic virgin, that they asked her that (and in fact tested for it) I wager that this intake place asks the same question of girls who come there. They want to know everything about their patients, doesn't that make sense?

5. Of course they asked other questions
This was a court ordered mental evaluation to determine if this "dangerous and criminal" lad :eyes: should be medicated by the state and gee, maybe if he is gay, that's the problem. But frankly the questions about his sexuality or whether or not he believes in god is none of their damn business and has absolutely NOTHING to do with criminal type behavior. Were talking 2 disorderly conducts and one charge of petty theft, $100 dollars worth of merchandise he stole once. He was the passenger in his buddies truck, not the driver and he ran because he was already on probation and was scared because he IS doing good. Now that can hardly be considered "extreme" acting out behavior.

And by the way it is standard to ask a female, but especially if she has stomach pains, if she's pregnant. That has always been a standard question for a woman. Good catholic virgin or not!

6. I want my doctors to know everything about me
frankly. maybe he's acting out against something, a repressive parent, a repressive church, something. wouldn't you rather have them ask every question they can think of than randomly medicate someone since they don't know why he's acting up?

oh, and by the way, fleeing from the cops and trying to hide is known as acting up. He's lucky that, with a criminal record already, that he's not in jail.

so what other questions did they ask? why were those appropriate, but these aren't? did they ask him if he had a girlfriend? was that acceptable?

7. Oh yeah, he's such a hard core criminal case
How could the obvious have escaped me so with three whole misdemeanor charges :eyes:

I've known this kid since he was three years old. He got into some pretty typical teenage trouble that is pretty minor in nature if you ask me. He doesn't drink, he doesn't do drugs and if he did have any sort of behavioral problems that needed medicating, he would have shown signs this past year of being unable to control himself or apply himself to the point of becoming an almost straight A student in school, become captain of the school band, work part time, and obey his curfew. And until he hopped in his buddies truck a couple weeks ago he hasn't been in trouble at all. At school or at home.

My friend didn't go over all the questions they asked. She was relating to me those questions she found, inappropriate, offensive and none of their damn business, period! And I agree.

8. It's good that they're offering counseling to teens in trouble with
the law...

but medication should be between him, his parents, and his doctor. IMHO.
