Edited on Thu Dec-02-04 04:51 PM by AmandaRuth
first time ever on a talk show for me!! My voice was shaking,,,,,,,

I talked about how Rossi is so unfriendly to labor, and wants to abolish the min wage laws as a way to stimulate the economy, I got cut off pretty quick, but not bad for a first timer.....

1. What should minimum wage be set at?
Has anyone agreed on an upper limit yet?

2. Listen, i am not an economist, but i can tell you
that i work in retail store that would rather expand and open new stores than pay anything close to a livable wage. Even the managers do not make a livable wage, and can't afford to shop where they work. One manager goes to a food bank at the end of the month. I make $8.10 and the only reason I do, is because the WA state min is $7.25 (thereabouts). Believe me, if the min wage in this state was $4.50, than i would be making $5.10. Of course, the owners are living rather large.
