My Repub Mother loves "A Christmas Carol," oh the irony
Edited on Thu Dec-02-04 05:30 PM by Sandpiper
My diehard GOP Mom absolutely loves the Dickens story and the George C. Scott movie version of "A Christmas Carol."

What she doesn't realize is that Scrooge would most definitely have been a Republican, and his comments about the poor and downtrodden people of the world sound like Newt Gingrich talking points.

Oh well...

6. Mr. Potter was the Conservative, Jimmy Stewart was the Liberal
and they were both Capitalists!

I'm using it as an example for a LTTE tonight to respond to one bashing Liberals.
