He was articulate and unflappable. He explained why Gore actually won Florida in one sentence, easy for the thinking challenged/hate radio brainwashed Republican's all around us to understand.

I missed the very beginning of the interview, the links at cspan to watch online keep coming up dead for some reason.

...votes he needed would be found in a state-wide recount.

However, because the New York Times Editorial Page said that Gore shouldn't do that or he'd be accused of overreaching, he didn't do it (as if it would look better that he was cherry picking!). Gore ignored the advice that he was given on day one.

Jeffey Toobin writes about this in Too Close To Call.

Gore doesn't come off very well in that book.
