The administration is talking about taking from social security because Bush fucked up the economy.
Abortion and teen pregnancy are on the rise because Bush is living in a fantasy world over abstenince.
The country has never been more divided.
Applications to leave the country have increased since the election.
Bush is still the most hated man in the world.
Soldiers would rather commit suicide than fight for Bush's unjust war.

The media still won't report most of the above, but...
at least everyone knows whose fault it is this time. They no longer can blame Clinton. They no longer can blame Kerry. The no longer can blame the last administration.

Go ahead and run with your mandate Mr. Bush. It's all your fault this time.

I think the only way Bush "hurts" to any degree is that he knows the world despises him, which is why I would make an effort to attend any protest within a five hour drive from me.

You seeing it crumble, and the whole world perceiving it to crumble are two different things. Things must get much, much worse before it cannot be denied by all but the most delusional. 13. Taking responsibility is hard work

I remember something I read about the election that reminded us that Bush has never had to take responsibility for anything in his life - his business failings, Texas, and on and on, he has moved on and others have had to pick up the pieces of his failings.

As sad as I am now (presuming the theft of the election will not be undone this time either) I am encouraged to believe that Bush will finally have to take responsibility for his failures. The days of blaming Clinton are over; his stated mandate leaves it all in his hands. With a Republican Congress in place, he can't even blame Congress. It is now Bush's war, Bush's economy, Bush's deficit and Bush's foreign (non) policy. He can't hide and slide for four years. I feel no joy in this list as these failures do hurt citizens who do not deserve to take the pain of Bush's screw-ups. But as much as he talks about "hard work", watching him try to avoid responsibility will be a just reward for his election.

But God hears when we cry out for justice. So, even though I haven't been much of a praying person for about 15 years, for about a month now, I have made sure to pray very solemnly and with a full heart for justice for the innocent and for this country whenever I am driving in my car. I also ask for God to make my heart right.

I've also been told that we all must reap what we sow. That's a concept from almost every philosophy and religion. Bush and all the members of his administration, as well as the heads of the conglomerate corporations and fundie church leaders they are in cahoots with -- have sown corruption, greed, carelessness, thoughtlessness, strife, and judgment. Think I'm overstating that last point? Then I say to you go back and watch Bush's speechs. Notice how when he speaks on matters of human caring and compassion, he stumbles, stutters, misspeaks and looks nervous. Yet when he speaks of war and death, his speech is clear and unstilted, and there is a gleam in his eye that is nothing else but pure joy. He likes to see people suffering, he likes death and destruction, just so long as it isn't his own. This is a man who is entirely lacking in compassion.

So no, I take no joy in this current state of affairs. Rather quite the opposite, I feel rage, sadness and dispair at what this sick motherfucker has wrought, and will do what I can to undo Bush's evil works. And the only time I will take joy is when I see that evil fuck leave office, preferably in chains.

But the Bushbots in this country will never, ever blame their boy for anything that goes wrong. Part of it is from dumb loyalty, the other part is that the MSM in this country either glosses over these matters, doesn't report them, or if they do report them, don't connect the dots between the problem and Bush. Thus, most people are left in the dark, and those of us who do know what's going on are regarded by most of the public in this country as baying at the moon when we bring such matters up.

The disconnect in this country is truly disturbing, and quite frankly the only solution that I can think of to correct it is to keep getting the word out as much as we can, speaking truth to power. We really need a nationwide media outlet that isn't beholden to the corporate/government interests in this country, but that simply doesn't look like it is going to happen. It is a sad statement that one has to go to foreign news outlets to find out what is going on in one's country.
