How much do you enjoy seeing Bush's world crumble?
The economy still sucks.
New jobs still don't exist.
The Iraq war is still a disaster.
Gas prices are still ridiculously high.
The dollar is the lowest it's been in a really long time.
The deficit is out of control.
OBL is still alive and free.
The administration is talking about taking from social security because Bush fucked up the economy.
Abortion and teen pregnancy are on the rise because Bush is living in a fantasy world over abstenince.
The country has never been more divided.
Applications to leave the country have increased since the election.
Bush is still the most hated man in the world.
Soldiers would rather commit suicide than fight for Bush's unjust war.

The media still won't report most of the above, but...
at least everyone knows whose fault it is this time. They no longer can blame Clinton. They no longer can blame Kerry. The no longer can blame the last administration.

Go ahead and run with your mandate Mr. Bush. It's all your fault this time.

1. If he were the only one who had to pay for his mistakes, maybe
I would enjoy it.

Right now he's enjoying life, and others are losing their jobs, going without medical care, and being killed in Iraq.

So, no, I'm not enjoying anything yet.

I still have hope that he'll have a major comeuppance and this country will turn around.

I mean it's pretty cold comfort that President Bush looks like an idiot when you consider the amount of suffering he's caused.

Shrub's wealth insulates him from the harm he is causing.

He's not hurting and unless he is brought to real justice...he never will hurt from all the damage he has caused and continues to cause.

16. Agreed
I think the only way Bush "hurts" to any degree is that he knows the world despises him, which is why I would make an effort to attend any protest within a five hour drive from me.

He's too egocentric, in an OJ Simpson-like way, to feel guilt over the pain, suffering and death he's brought to hundreds of thousands of people, millions in the broad scheme of things.

But his ego won't allow him to dismiss all the banners and placards calling him a fool, a simian. That will continue to eat away at him until he dies.

it's OUR World, NOT his.

His world consists of living inside a nice, comfy, hermitically sealed bubble with all the amenities. Teflon coating included!

Here, in our World, we continue to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune! He slings his poo, we get the news. His actions are bringing nothing but chaos, suffering, and dismay.

I just wonder if that EVER enters into his mind? Maybe that's why he is on medication. He is probably one of the most despised people on the planet today.

The ruin, I'm increasingly persuaded, is not accidental.

On the part of his neocon minders, the chaos creates new opporturnities to exploit. And so far as Bush is concerned, he's just hastening the "Great and Terrible Day of the Lord."

Edited on Fri Dec-03-04 09:21 AM by Inland
The Bush backers always knew that Bush was an objective failure, and they chose religion, tax cuts and hope that they and their communities would be able to swim against the tide. More than just this shit is going to have to hit the fan before they change, and that's why we shouldn't have any hope for the immediate future.

and refuse to lose hope. He hasn't even started his second administration yet. The world is fucked up and this man is a total disaster. I refuse to believe that the media and the good thinking Americans won't wake up and start understanding the truth.

He will go down as the worst President in American history and that's enough for me. I would love to see an impeachment or trial before it's all over, but I don't necessarily need it. Again, Bush and his supporters looking like idiots is enough for me.

You seeing it crumble, and the whole world perceiving it to crumble are two different things. Things must get much, much worse before it cannot be denied by all but the most delusional. Then, and only then, will the world remove him from office. If it is as bad as we think, it isn't bad enough for populous do start forming mobs in front of the White House.

13. Taking responsibility is hard work
I remember something I read about the election that reminded us that Bush has never had to take responsibility for anything in his life - his business failings, Texas, and on and on, he has moved on and others have had to pick up the pieces of his failings.

As sad as I am now (presuming the theft of the election will not be undone this time either) I am encouraged to believe that Bush will finally have to take responsibility for his failures. The days of blaming Clinton are over; his stated mandate leaves it all in his hands. With a Republican Congress in place, he can't even blame Congress. It is now Bush's war, Bush's economy, Bush's deficit and Bush's foreign (non) policy. He can't hide and slide for four years. I feel no joy in this list as these failures do hurt citizens who do not deserve to take the pain of Bush's screw-ups. But as much as he talks about "hard work", watching him try to avoid responsibility will be a just reward for his election.

17. Vengeance belongs to God, or so I've been told

But God hears when we cry out for justice. So, even though I haven't been much of a praying person for about 15 years, for about a month now, I have made sure to pray very solemnly and with a full heart for justice for the innocent and for this country whenever I am driving in my car. I also ask for God to make my heart right.

I've also been told that we all must reap what we sow. That's a concept from almost every philosophy and religion. Bush and all the members of his administration, as well as the heads of the conglomerate corporations and fundie church leaders they are in cahoots with -- have sown corruption, greed, carelessness, thoughtlessness, strife, and judgment. That is what they will receive when the harvest comes in. (sound of whip cracking)

Anyway, I maintain the faith that he will get what is coming to him in due measure. Would be satisfying if it occurs soon, and we all get to watch it unfold...

After all, George Walker Bush is a man of God. God told him to run for president. His followers voted for George Walker Bush because they, too, believe that God wants him as president. God would be angry had they not voted for George Walker Bush.

19. No comfort here yet ...
because both Bush and his supporters live in a non-fact based world. I don't really believe he even sees his world as crumbling. Although he is normally a pathological liar, when he says that he doesn't believe he has made any mistakes, I believe him -- that that is what he believes.

Also the milions of morons who voted for him cannot yet be convinced by facts that he is a disaster. Only when their jobs disappear, their money becomes worthless and the lives of their young men and women are pointlessly wasted in war -- only when it happens to them personally rather than in the newspaper -- might they begin to wake up.

I feel there has to be some sort of govt reform, they all make too much money and have too many benefits at retirement, give then the same retirement and health care options as the average american gets and we will see some serious reform, and that goes for insurance companies also. politicians , lawyers and insurance agents all need to be knocked down to knee level, their all crooks.

26. Sorry, I cannot take any joy in such matters
Simply because those events do not touch Bush, they don't effect him in anyway. Instead, they bring death and ruin to countless thousands of innocents both at home and abroad.

Indeed, instead of bringing harm to Bush, they bring him power, profit and joy. Power through misused military might, money through crony capitalism, and joy simply because I think that the man is a sick, sadistic fuck who takes joy in other peoples' pain. Think I'm overstating that last point? Then I say to you go back and watch Bush's speechs. Notice how when he speaks on matters of human caring and compassion, he stumbles, stutters, misspeaks and looks nervous. Yet when he speaks of war and death, his speech is clear and unstilted, and there is a gleam in his eye that is nothing else but pure joy. He likes to see people suffering, he likes death and destruction, just so long as it isn't his own. This is a man who is entirely lacking in compassion.

So no, I take no joy in this current state of affairs. Rather quite the opposite, I feel rage, sadness and dispair at what this sick motherfucker has wrought, and will do what I can to undo Bush's evil works. And the only time I will take joy is when I see that evil fuck leave office, preferably in chains.

30. I understood what you were saying friend
But the Bushbots in this country will never, ever blame their boy for anything that goes wrong. Part of it is from dumb loyalty, the other part is that the MSM in this country either glosses over these matters, doesn't report them, or if they do report them, don't connect the dots between the problem and Bush. Thus, most people are left in the dark, and those of us who do know what's going on are regarded by most of the public in this country as baying at the moon when we bring such matters up.

The disconnect in this country is truly disturbing, and quite frankly the only solution that I can think of to correct it is to keep getting the word out as much as we can, speaking truth to power. We really need a nationwide media outlet that isn't beholden to the corporate/government interests in this country, but that simply doesn't look like it is going to happen. It is a sad statement that one has to go to foreign news outlets to find out what is going on in one's country.
