E Guinea plot trial 'was unfair' : BBC

The trials of 19 people accused of plotting a coup in Equatorial Guinea did not meet international standards, a leading legal watchdog has claimed.

The International Bar Association said defendants were not given access to translators or informed of all the evidence or charges against them.

The court in Malabo failed to investigate claims that the men had been tortured, the IBA alleged.

Plot leader Nick du Toit and 13 others were found guilty in November.

Du Toit gor 34 years, Moto 63 in absentia....You might expect a bit of whingeing and moaning about the sentences....

1. Oh the irony ...
Apartheid era assasins and mercs copping rough justice at the hads of kaffirs? Oh, I weep salty tears for them I really do.

Send Little Boy Thatcher up there next.

2. Interesting
I wonder if Thatcher will ever make it there. One would think he would have fled to London or Texas.

3. The Saffa cops
have him under house arrest and will seize his extensive holdings if he tries to make a run for it.

The ANC haven't forgotten nor forgiven his Mother (May her dark master take her soon!) supporting the apartheid regime throughout the '80s.
