The Fallujah Tragedy
I was watching MSNBC this morning while getting ready for work...

They reported on the aftermath from the Fallujah battle...

I am so pissed off right now. I don't know what I was thinking. I had no idea how much we have devastated that town. I was stunned...I'm still stunned. They showed bodies in the street, completely destroyed buildings, homes, etc. Fewer than 2,000 remain in the town. They say that they will have to completely tear down most of the buildings and start over. It will take about six months...each returning Fallujah citizen will receive about $2,500 for the loss of their property and loved-ones.

They interviewed some of the refugees that were forced out of Fallujah...forced out of their homes, to live a life that they did not ask for. The two people that they interviewed were pissed off and let the cameraman know it. One said that he would welcome the Americans back with guns.

What the fuck are we doing?!!! Where do we get the balls big enough to do this to other people...where is our humanity?

I just don't understand my country anymore.

-Paige

4. MSNBC actually reported that?!?
someone there is gonna be fired for sure....
not supposed to report anything but sunny, happy iraqi's...

seriously - rumors of gas being used, and napalm, and almost every building in town is damaged. it is far worse than puppet boy allawi reported (he said 200 homes damaged). rebuilding an entire city for 300,000 people? there is NO WAY the us is gonna do that. much less in SIX MONTHS.

nauseating. simply nauseating.

9. Its population was roughly that of Cincinnati or Pittsburg.

But unlike Cincinnati or Pittsburg, Fallujah's population was almost entirely Iraqi.
