Update on husband's unemploymet appeal.... |
|
yesterday, my husand went for the appeal hearing on his unemployment. It lasted about an hour. He had all his material. He showed the referee standard operating procedures on two things that are at the heart of his case: (1.) delivered material is not to be accepted until it has a packing slip, and (2.) nothing is to be stord anywhere else but the warehouse. The direct supervisor said "I am not sure where this came from". My husand said, "isn't that ****'s original signature". The referree asked for the original copy of all SOPs. Keep your fingers crossed.

I'm going thru the same type thing. My ex-boss was an idiot and the employee's he hired hated my guts. I never recieved a bad review and got bonuses out the ying-yang until one of the owners sold his half of the business to the other guy. The other guy then hired an absolute @$$! I'm at the last appeal! I hope he is successful. My ultimate goal really isn't about collecting the unemployment, it's more about letting my ex-boss know he can't keep doing this kind of crap to people! Hopefully the next person won't have to go thru what I went through!

on appeal, too. These f@cking companies don't want to lay off or downsize because they have to pay unemployment benefits, and because it looks bad in their quarterly report.
Turns out, my son's hearing lasted about 10 minutes. The reviewer was pissed. The company had to turn over all records beforehand, and there was 9 years of flawless evals and no record of the behavior that they said was cause for firing.
The reviewer also noted that this particular case would put them in a higher bracket when the company pays unemployment insurance payments to the state.
