why do we give away our power? why do we look to our representatives in
Edited on Fri Dec-03-04 10:53 PM by billie_
Govt. to do it for us? when they fail to actually represent us, why do we just roll over and accept it....you know, the revolution begins when we do NOTHING....when we stop driving their buses, teaching in their schools, cooking their meals, fighting their wars....making the machine run....we are the machine....we are the power!

THIS IS OUR COUNTRY

and they have to realize, if they don't represent us and do their jobs, we shut the place down....

Bu$h is a criminal....when he went to Canada, they should have arrested him

we need to realize our power and take our country back....with a bloodless revolution....

refuse to pick their cotton...shut this nation down, make them responsible for what they have done!

angry rant over, i just hate this feeling of powerlessness that is us giving our power away...sigh

9. I like him because he seems honest and like a TRUE populist, although
Edited on Fri Dec-03-04 11:10 PM by billie_
his actual policies are way to conservative for my tastes, i realize that i am a bit far to the left, i believe that the good Dr. was actually a canidate that truely represented the people....
policywise, i am really more a Kucinich/Nadar/Cobb gal, but i know that can't happen....i am a reasonable lefty :)

5. We need to peacefully, nonviolently march in the streets in large numbers
if we want to call attention to what's happening.

Edited on Fri Dec-03-04 11:06 PM by billie_
we need to mobilize, take to the streets and shut shit down....

we the people are what makes things run, without us, things literally shut down...we need to take our power back from these amoral thugs

they drape themselves in a Flag and care nothing for our country
they drape themselves with the cross and have no God....

these people are using us and KILLING us,they poison our food and we fight their wars...we have to stop

the revolution happens when we STOP

12. Sure is a ton
of organizing.

Not saying I don't agree with you.

Although, I don't see how any of that happens without blood.

You start shutting business down, they start bringing out state power. Not to mention the soldier of fortune types that wouldn't mind picking off a few hippies laying in the streets.

We can't compare ourselves to the Ukraine's or Georgia's of the world. First thing, those are far smaller countries. Also, those countries are being played by two or three centers of power from the outside. Big difference from trying to change things from the inside.

Then you have outsourcing. We barely make anything in this country. We work on a computer or two, and sell the products that are made by cheap and child labor around the planet.

Then you have more and more automation, making it that much more difficult for us humans to shut shit down.

I agree with what you propose. I just don't see how it works out as perfectly as you.

13. well, you are right....my "plan" is more of a rant and the seed of an idea
i am just so sick of what is happening to our country, which i do love and do believe in...not like these hypocritical amoral war criminals who say freedom is on the march when it is death and destruction on parade....

i just know, that we the people have to take our country back before we slip all the way from democracy to despotism....

you know?

14. I completely agree
I go a little more insane as each day in this reality passes by. Especially knowing that so many people in this country, or at least enough people, buy what they say.

I'm all for we the people taking back the power that we were all supposed to have, but have never really quite had.

I think we're beyond taking our country back before the slip though. Lincoln knew it. Eisenhower knew it. Smedley Butler knew it.

But I'm all for a good rant. Nothing quite like passion in a corporatized reality.

16. i hope we aren't beyond taking our country back
but i do know that this last election really took it out of me....i worked really hard, for Dean during primaries and then when Kerry was nominated, as a volunteer for move on...

i really don't believe that Bu$h won this election and that the people, Kerry, the democrats, that all of us Dems/Repubs...don't want to make sure that the votes are counted ... that our votes actually count...is beyond me, don't we want to make sure of the actual winner?

i don't know what has become of us....and i feel betrayed by my own party ...

sigh & sigh.... i wonder where our outrage is....we are in Iraq killing people, FOR WHAT...and people seem okay with it...our election seems to be fraudulent and people are ok with it....

anyway....i just feel we the people have to refuse to allow this to keep happening...

10. Actually fulfilling the democratic agenda in a rep. controlled congress
You are right. But we need to take that power back by playing by their rules. This is a post I have been sending around to do exactly what you suggest. But in a slightly different way. We can get it back for real and its not that hard either..........

How can we expect anyone to consider that democrats stand for the people when their leadership doesn't? There is great rhetoric form the party, but rhetoric goes nowhere. For years the democratic leadership has been given a way to take over the congress and fulfill the democratic agenda and has ignored it. Discoveries have been made in the structure of our government systems that would make it possible to fix social security even raise it, provide health care to not just the uninsured but all 300 million of our people, fund education as well as all our social programs. And on top of that doesn't cost anything or even require the congress to do anything to achieve it. Does the democratic party care, “NO”. If the democratic party won't take advantage of something like this. Who do you think we are kidding.

If we can force the democratic party to actually take steps to serve the people instead of talking about wanting to serve the people, we just may resolve the parties disconnect with the people. Rhetoric is a sorry excuse for non action.......

Actually fulfilling the democratic agenda in a republican controlled
congress and executive branch, means you have a message the people want. Action instead of words...........

If you are interested in seeing this happen, pass this e-mail to at least two other people or post it in two other blogs. We need to win back the people with actions not promises....

If you are interested in the details its in this blog:
