2. Way worse.
So many more people to kill.

And BushCo hasn't defaulted on treasury obligations yet.

Or interned significant numbers of American citizens.

All this awaits.

5. The worst is yet to come.
I too believe that the worst is yet to come. In fact I was just talking about this very subject matter this am with my husband. But, I remain hopeful as I am in this for the long haul. There will be a reckoning day. Just not the kind that the far religious right is expecting.

4. Definitely things will get worse
Why? The dollar is going to continue to slide down, down, down and our national debt goes up, up, up.

Europe will counterbalance the failings of the US both economically and in foreign policy, as the EU will gain strength and power. That's not necessarily a bad thing overall, but...

If oil gets traded in euro's instead of dollars, our economy will be practically irrelevant to the rest of the world.

Meanwhile, the war in Iraq will not succeed as planned. Whether BushCo does or doesn't decide to withdraw troops, it'll remain a mess.

And, I actually do believe we're in for another terrorist attack of some kind.

6. The only thing to stop things from getting worst...
is WHEN that butt-head is removed from office. I believe it is just a matter of time before he is forced from office, simply because he is losing more and more credibility here at home by his own selfish and destructive actions. Its only a matter of time before he is taken down politically and legally, which will be our only salvation, let's hope its sooner rather than later.

8. we can't imagine yet
how bad things could become. both here and in the world.

nukes. disease. massive social upheaval. the rich barricading themselves in gated communities while dissent is repressed.

we will long for 'the good old days'

9. Think of a nation that imposes limits on freedom...
and is out to make the world in it's own image. You have the US.
Not only will things get worse, it will get very weird.
Not to sound racist, and It's not meant to be bigoted, but as a white man, I'm probably the safest. Women, minority's and recent immigrants are and will have a very limited amount of elbow room, as far as personal freedoms and freedoms guaranteed by the constitution, in the very near future.
The pressure to conform and keep in line is only going to increase.
These are sad, dark days.
