***All GLBT DUers, I support you and I love you!!!!***
Since the religious right feels they are justified in creating hatred through propaganda toward gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgender people, I will take it upon myself to create my own counter-propaganda here.

I love you as much as any other human, and respect your right to be who you are. There is absolutely no shame in being different (although I expect you all know this already). Whatever the right-wing hate machine dreams up, please do not take it seriously or personally. They are too wrapped up in diverting their own self-hatred towards others to realize what they are doing.

If they (freepers) want to live in a world of hate, that is fine, because nobody will ever love them, and they will never be able to love anybody. Haters make their own choice to deny themselves God's greatest gift to mankind: Love. I have chosen love along time ago BECAUSE OF JESUS. That means I love you all, and I love myself. This means I truly feel proud of all who chose love with me. So keep your chins up for the next four years!!

Hate will only kill you if you let it!

Equality for *everyone* - prejudice or discrimination is unacceptable. Anyone who is too hung up on judging their fellow man to have any compassion for them is betraying not just the ideals this country stands for, but their own humanity. Gay, straight, male, female, black, white, brown or any other color, religious, or atheist - this country -- this WORLD -- belongs to ALL of us.

4. It's all a crock
Most Americans know gay people and love them. Who in the Sam Hill cares who marries whom? This is just another goofball issue the corporate media cooked up to explain the truthfull exit polls; God forbid we should get the truth in this country.

Of course our GLBTers deserve our love and respect; it goes without saying. Just the same:

5. I love you all, too!
I'd like to echo JohnnyCougar's sentiments here and just say that we're all human beings for crying out loud. What is accomplished by hating one or another of our fellow human beings? Nothing. We're all 'in this' together and we all have faults and Jesus doesn't want us to look down on each other for our faults. Jesus loves you and so do I.

8. Agreed!
I just cannot understand how the GOP could have the audacity to promote discrimination and bigotry against American citizens (who they are supposed to represent) simply for political gain.

It just angers me because I have yet to find one person on the "anti-gay marriage" issue who can tell me, straight up, how it will affect their lives personally. I have never been happier to be from a state like Massachusetts who recognizes and accepts the fact that EVERYONE should be free to live their lives as they want to and stand up for the rights and liberties of all Americans.

Cheer up, there are about 55 million people (49% of the American population) that loves and respects you all and doesn't want to preach hate and intolerance! :)

11. A great man once said I never met a man I didn't like
This idea should be the cornerstone of any reasonable person's thinking. How can you hate a person until you have met them. Similarly how can you love a person without meeting them either. I extend this promise to anyone. I will give you all the chances you need to convince me whether I should like you or dislike you based on who you are.

I can embrace our fellow humanity but love and hate are reserved for people I know.

14. Don't let the bastards grind you down!
Thanks for this post Johnny.

The haters *are* the minority. They just make a lot of noise and trouble.

We need to step back more often and voice our support.
