I have the following questions for the DLC.
1.Why are you trying to ostracize Michael Moore, a true Democrat, for
speaking out against the Iraq war and producing Fahrenheit 911?His movie educated the electorate in this country about the true nature of this war and brought a great deal of support to our candidates. His loyalty is now being rewarded by a kick in his groins. I think this is a despicable act on the part of Al From, the Chief Poohbah of the DLC.

2. Why hasn't the DLC spoken out about the tortures at Abu Ghraib and Gitmo?

3. What is the DLC's position on the PNAC document? Does it agree with its fundamental premise that American hegemony should be our goal?

4. Does the DLC support the UN Charter, the Geneva conventions on prisoner treatment and general compliance with international treaties?

1. Many people are suspecting GOP Lite®
There have been many accusations of Democratic organizations who don't support the items we feel are important. These people aren't even trying to support liberal viewpoints. They have been dubbed GOP Lite®. They run or display as Democrats, but they act like stock Republicans in action. The many organizations in this country that should be acting with similar interests to ours beg speculation due to the fact that they seem to be puppet politicians, PACs, etc. Maybe we need to start looking into this stuff.

3. You will notice that many of the people on the DLC are also members
of the PNAC.Joe Lieberman in particular has a way of insinuating himself into organizations that seem to be against our Democratic Party positions. For example, he has formed an organization called the Committee on the Present Danger with James Woolsey, the ex-CIA Director who, I assume is a Republican, and who is a certified PNAC member. He is also the one who has said that we are now in World War IV, if we count the Cold War as WW III.Nice guy to be in bed with, if you ask me.

4. Back around the 2000 election, Lieberman also co-founded an organization

with Lynn Cheney which was designed to collect comments of university professor and instructors which could be labeled unpatriotic and use those remarks against them. I do not trust that man and would never vote for him. I'm sorry I can't remember the name of the group and they used to have a website.

Correction: went searching for something on that nasty group and found this page:

5. This is so disappointing ...
I wouldn't fault the DLC for being civil. However, the republicans are always launching personal attacks against individual Democrats and never fail to rant about liberals and progressive in America. They are also kissing up and making excuses for the right wing ... sort of like the "Abused Wife Syndrome."

Our Democratic Leaders must to grow a spine or I, for the first time in my 46 years of life, will promptly disown them. If the Democratic representatives don't get tough, I will only vote for Greens or Left Libertarians in the future ... people who presently support what used to be known as moderately Democratic values.

I've never been a purist ... always have tried to reach a compromise and support "The Team" but the DLC have crossed a line where I don't even recognize them as part of the Democratic Party I used to love and support.

6. Woolsey is a Democrat
PNAC = jewish right wing "intellectuals" who send the poor and middle class off to die.

CPD has been around a long time, since the containment policy was started under Truman. The late Paul Nitze was a founder. It is now a vehicle to move the Dems to the right on foreign policy.

8. More unthinkable
Just to add a little. It seems(seems mind you, who can "prove" anything) that GOP in Dem clothing have been insinuating themselves in electoral jobs in many states a la La Pore. Some are at least suspiciously incompetent or so ready to be dupes one wonders about the sanity of any professional Democrat who helped them to their jobs. Meanwhile of course most GOP election commissioners are more liable to "deliver" in just about anyway imaginable.

Seeing as how nice and idealistic and trusting our side plays the game, having trouble raising money and staffing the NECESSARY positions, how hard would it have been really to infiltrate the party leadership?

Looking at the DLC leadership they might as well have been paid saboteurs., but maybe they were not smart enough to get paid, simply operating on a crassly simple level on behalf of the GOP.

Investigate? Purge? Is that really necessary when one asks the question: If these guys were GOP operatives would it have made any difference at all considering the results?

Money, ambition, and suddenly a little GOP seeps into the soul, a little arrogance, disdain and general scumminess. Is there any reason why we have a top to the part when all it is a cap? Maybe there should be an alternative to the "New" GOPDems and the Democratic Losership Council, a Democratic Real Leadership Council or Just Plain Democrats.

All the smug words and touted successes and ruinous poisoned ideology bankrupt of what that value system requires most(money, illegal muscle) and in the end no defeat is too big to ignore. How can they be satisfied unless they WERE GOP infiltrators?

To revitalize this party the real leaders should get toghether, but NOT under the auspices of that DLC glee club they trust along with every other horrible elite insitution in this country. The truth and the people are out here, not in Third Way roadkill land.
