What makes the DLC democratic?
I'm serious here. I don't know much about them, except that they're the far right wing of the democratic party.

What democratic/liberal positions do they actually support?

1. As far as I can tell, the only thing Democratic about them is the word
Democratic in their name.............

3. They're a little bit better than the Republicans on some issues
and they expect us to win elections with that message.

5. To me, DLC = Dinosaur League Central
AFAIC, they're out of touch, and are an anachronism to the Democratic cause. They want us to go back in time, not progress forward.

6. They are not democratic in any sense...
instead, they are a kinder, gentler version of fascism. The believe in using the carrot instead of the stick. They want to give the people just enough to keep us in line and to not cause any problems...

9. Any undemocratic organization within the party must be opposed
We don't need organizations where the size of your damn wallet determines how powerful you are. We need grassroots organizations where every individual member of that organization has an equal say in the affairs of that organization. That's what democracy is. It is not a plutocracy. The PDA is more democratic than the DLC will ever be. The DLC can take its bloodsucking, greed-loving, corporatist-appeasing, sorry sellout asses back to the Republican Party where the corporatists are more welcome. My fight is not with moderates in the Democratic Party but with moderates who only pretend to be so because of their allegiance to the corporations.

10. I agree
I'm looking for a rebuttal to that, but I do love to hear my own thoughts on others' lips.
