Battered Wife Syndrome- Does this define America today?
I have been baffled like many of you that the american public continues to put up with the horseshit that comes from this administration. I can not believe that people can possibly be that stupid.

Well, it hit me today. The american public is acting as if it has collective battered wife syndrome. He (this administration) hits her and beats her every week but she thinks he has changed now and won't hit her anymore. Next week he hits her again. She doesn't like it but believes she has no options and only hopes that he changes. She loves him. He never does change. He is weak and a bully with low self esteem. It's his nature.

We all know the potential outcome if left unchecked. Either she gathers enough courage and leaves him or he eventually kills her.

From the signs I see she (america) is gathering that courage and really looking at her options. Given time I think he is finished.

Let's hope she leaves him before he kills her.

I like your analogy.

Thing is, in the cycle of violence there is a honeymoon period, where the abuser promises to change, apologizes profusely, buys flowers and chocoate.

Bush apologizes for nothing.
He never says he will change.
If tax cuts equals the flowers and chocolates, it ain't enough to keep me from kicking the bastard out.

But then I'm the kind of gal that guys like this stay hella way from

2. Great analogy
in both cases, fear is what allows him (administration) to remain in control - it's powerful, potent stuff. Lets hope courage and the desire to be free will overcome.

3. Obviously bush plays on fear and weakness.
The thing is you can't play that card forever and I do see an awakening starting to take place. Once that takes hold he and his gang of thieves are done.
