Bush cutting veteran's benefits?

I'm having a discussion with someone about Bush's cutting veteran's benefits. I used to have a long list of bookmarked items aboot this topic but I have lost them.

Here is the link he gave me that shows Bush has actually increased funding for veterans.

Is this accurate or did Bush really cut benefits?

1. I'd check

the DAV website, and the Viet Nam Vets Against War website. I've gotten several articles from my neighbor, who is a vet, telling about problems with veterans getting benefits-apparently some Iraq War vets who have been severely injured are waiting months and months before getting any benefits at all.

So it could be that Bush SAYS he's increasing funding, but if the money isn't getting to vets, what good is increase in funding?

2. The whole issue of the way this administration deals with vets is awful

Support the Troops? Bullshit. This is a big issue with me.
