I have $old out to $inclair adverti$er$.
I have been boycotting Taco Bell, along with other advertisers on the Sinclair consortium, since they aired that "Stolen Honor" mockumentery crap. However, tonight, after about seven weeks, I succumbed.

Taco Bell (and KFC) are the only two places to get something to eat this late at night here in Kirksville, MO, at least that I know of. Unless, of course, I want to walk two miles to Wal-Mart:puke:

I was unbearably hungry, so I succumbed and went to Taco Hell, in effect suspending the boycott. I sold out my convictions.

I told the cashier, after she had to run to get a drive-thru customer that had returned to troll, that I should be boycotting the place but they were the only ones that were open. She replied, nonchalantly, "No, you just need to boycott the tomatoes."

I told her that I knew about the tomato exploitation, but I was actually boycotting because of who Taco Hell placed advertisements with. She added a free taco, no tomatoes to my order:shrug: FYI, I don't like tomatoes anyway.

I feel like a dirty $ellout. Possibly even a zellout. Help me recover my Stolen Honor, or flame me for my insolence.

1. try hitting up a your local White Castle Hamburgers joint if they're...
around. I hear there's one in St. Louis and Kansas City MO. They're delicious beyond imagination though. Trouble is you can't stop with eating just 10 of those tiny hamburgers! They're that addicting.

2. Hit the streets and you are absolved
IMHO Sinclair didn't do anywhere near the damage that Diebold, ES&S, and Sequoia did to our democracy. Get out there and rally for democracy by yelling and screaming for a transparent electoral system.

3. You did even better than boycott--
you got a FREE TACO! (And while I could mean that in the sense that a FREE TACO! is a nice thing, I mean that by getting a FREE TACO!, you have actually taken money away from them!

Albeit, about 20 cents.

But hey. FREE TACO!

4. We're both sinners
I swore off General Mills but last week my store had 2-for-1 Cheerios. It was way cheaper than the store brand, and it helps feed two ravenous toddlers. I rationalized that they lost money on the sale, and forgave myself for my pragmaticism. You should do the same - they lost money on you, too. :) (That's a darn cool cashier.)
