Where did I hear that before?

Musharraf: Iraq war has made world 'less safe'

"I think it's less safe," Gen. Pervez Musharraf said on CNN's "Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer."

Asked whether he considered the invasion a mistake, the Pakistani leader said: "With hindsight, yes. We have landed ourselves in more trouble, yes."

Although ousted Iraqi President Saddam Hussein "was a hated man" in his own country, many Iraqis have now turned their wrath on the U.S.-led forces that remain behind to provide security for an interim government, Musharraf said."

1. I passionately dislike idiots and sycophants like Musharaff who go
along just to be liked. They never have the vision and temerity to say and do the right thing at the right time. What the heck does he expect to happen now that he has given the chimp* every bit of support that was asked of him - before the invasion, after the invasion, during the campaign and before the election? Please, spare me the ramblings of this fool.

2. Musharraf is not a fool
He is a pragmatist, a fascist, and a realist. No hero, but he has a good understanding of "how things work." And for some reason, he ocasionally tells the truth. Unlike the Cons here in the USSR.

3. Well said
He's a clever man.

Basically he's tring to play both sides - he's telling the Islamist fundy nutcases back home "See I still disagree with Bush on Iraq". At the same time, he's telling Bush, "See I'm very measured in my criticism. Give me F-16s".

And this administration is likely going to deliver.

Oh yeah, this ought to provide a lot of stability in the region.

4. What's the REAL difference between Musharraf and Saddam?
Remember, kids, they are brutal dictators that are supported by the good ol' U.S. of A.
