Is LA Times expose on King/Drew Medical Center woes slanted?
http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-kdday2dec06,0,5000244.story?coll=la-home-headlines

Seems to me this latest salvo is trying to blame the black employees of King/Drew for fraudulently eating up the operating budget. The Times claims underfunding of the hospital is definitely not the problem.

Anybody with more knowledge of this situation care to respond? Like any expose, the Times could be cherry picking its evidence, and not giving us a complete picture of the problem.

1. Lookingat that article, I'd say it is the Admin who is a mess.
A lot of what they are citing is an issue of lousy administration, IMO. Particularly the employee issues. If somebody doesn't show up (and the Administrator is in this category too) they are not working.

I have got to marvel t the caring and dedication of the rest of the staff in the face of all this. can you IMAGINE what it would be like to deal with tht every day?
