MetroSpy - gear for rightie, wack-job nut cases
Want to be outraged and offended?
go to www.shopmetrospy.com

Get a shirt that celebrates the killing of unarmed, wounded soldiers, and other choice merchandise. SOmeone sent the link to me in an email and I thought it was a joke until I looked around the web site.

These jerkoffs could use some.. ahem... feedback ..

Bombs away!

1. from the site, ha!

"MetroSpy has a policy of charging liberals double and sometimes triple for our most popular items. Every so often, a smelly, tree-huggin', hippie will venture from his insulated left-wing, cocoon to accidentally stumble upon the ShopMetroSpy Online store. When this happens, many of them are so shocked and horrified by what they see, they'll stop everything, slither over to the nearest internet cafe to post their discovery on their favorite liberal message board. These posts invite look-e-loos which consume valuable bandwidth and server processing power. For the extra time and expense of having to deal with liberals, Metrospy has implemented a policy of blatant discrimination. All liberals are automatically charged extra.

On the average week, MetroSpy will receive several hundred emails from the screamin' pansies over at Democratic Underground complaining about 'how mean we are to the liberals. "

3. LOL...
I missed that bit about DU. guess they know this place well. LOL.

Good, anything to keep them busy and slow them down; crazy that they can make $ doing this kind of crap. Actually they probably dont sell any shirts - just have a website and hope someone will buy something.

From the site: "These posts invite look-e-loos which consume valuable bandwidth and server processing power."

Come on, DU, let's consume valuable bandwidth and cost them money!

5. They want the feedback...
so don't write them. Ignore them.

A million hits, with no comments and no sales, gives them bragging points, but hurts them more.

Conservative Internet Site MetroSpy Caves to Left-wing Critics - Controversial T-Shirt Canceled
Through the power of the Internet, t-shirt vendors have been forced to rethink their offensive creations before pitching them to the public.
Distribution Source : PRWeb

Date : Thursday - December 02, 2004

LOS ANGELES, CA (PRWEB) December 2, 2004 -- The liberal blogosphere can once again claim victory in their effort to clean up extremist, right-wing websites. Even before the first one was sold, a t-shirt which depicts a hooded Abu Ghraib prisoner being tortured, MetroSpy had yanked the item from its inventory. This news comes only one month after another t-shirt company, T-shirtHell.com, was ordered by eBay lawyers to stop selling an offensive t-shirt that read, "I bought Christopher Reeve's wheelchair on eBay"

Of particular concern to some human rights advocates is the degree to which these companies would exploit the humiliation and pain of others. The Abu Ghraib prisoner shirt is by far the worst but a short review of the MetroSpy website reveals several other t-shirts which are just as ghoulish and blood-thirsty. "I really have to question whether this is in the best of taste", said John Holbo of the democratic weblog John & Bell."These people must be lunatics"

'Support the Fallujah Marine', a t-shirt which shows a Marine standing over a dead Iraqi insurgent, has also been targeted by various liberal discussion boards and blogs. Only two days after posting the shirt for sale, MetroSpy has become inundated with email requests to pull the product from its website. So far, MetroSpy has refused.

ABOUT METROSPY
METROSPY, based in San Bernardino, CA is a designer and marketer of politically conservative apparel, gifts and accessories. The company"s target consumers are the growing number of young Republican conservatives ages 18 - 35. MetroSpy markets t-shirts, jackets and caps printed with edgy, often controversial political slogans. The company has recently added posters, wristbands and key chains to its product mix. MetroSpy currently employs 7 full and part time employees with annual sales of $500,000.
