This morning DU carried an item that struck me as a sign of our times.
Apparently, in Kansas, the reddest state of them all, many adult superstores are springing up dotting the rural landscape.They are strategically located on the exit ramps of highways and are doing roaring business with truckers, rural men and women.This is the same Kansas that has the Theory of Evolution on deathwatch,has a know nothing Christian Fundamentalist called Sam Brownback as a Senator and is the one state that has moved over to the Red side even though it is reeling from unemployment and a population that is unable to keep its young people from leaving.

What I find encouraging about this development is that anytime sex becomes more open,Liberals win because an openly sexual society cannot hide behind hypocritical attitudes.A Jimmy Swaggart can go on his pulpit day after day for ten years denouncing our loose morals,but cannot do so anymore because he was caught with his pants down in a motel with a known prostitute.I hope a similar fate befalls the other two notorious hypocrites, Falwell and Robertson.

If some of us are squeamish about enlisting our pornographer friends from Flynt on down, we can use the Republican tactic and let them damage the Republicans with their good deeds for us while we disavow any knowledge of their activities.May be not all activities because I am sure that there are just as many Democrats who like to have a little action now and then.May be you can ask Santorum to join you.
