Sen. Graham to Discuss His Book

U.S. Sen. Bob Graham, who is leaving public office after 18 years in the U.S. Senate, eight years as Florida governor and 12 years in the state Legislature, will discuss his new book about the U.S. intelligence community in a lecture at the Annie Pfeiffer Chapel on the Florida Southern College campus.

The lecture, at 7 p.m. on Dec. 16, is open to the public.

The talk, sponsored by the college's Center for Florida History, will center on his new book, "Intelligence Matters," and Graham will be available afterward to sign copies of the book."

I love the Annie Pfeiffer Chapel, a Frank Lloyd Wright architecture as is much of the campus. I once gave a senior concert there. Good memories. Sort of sad for things past.

1. i've just finished it.
Graham lays it all out -- the failures of the intelligence community to prevent 9/11 when they had plenty of opportunities right in front of them that they let go, and then the failures and lies of the bush administration who demonstrated more loyalty and protection for the Saudis than for US citizens. Now I know more than ever what Michael Moore was talking about when he showed the bin Laden/Saudi connections to the bush family and then said, "who's your daddy?"

After reading it, I admire Graham more than I can say. He's proof that there are good, honest, intelligent, decent and PATRIOTIC Democrats in Washington. An amazing and admirable man. There's so much corruption in our government, sometimes everyone seems tainted. Then when I read something like this, it gives me an infusion of much needed hope.

Every American should read this book.
