Wanna barf?
It makes me sad that many Americans would see this site and think it was the bee's knees.

1. What a load of horse pucky
bu$h is a terrorist, not a cowboy. He is simultaneously waging war in the middle east and against the citizens & national resources of this country.

2. He ain't a cowboy
and any REAL Texan will tell you that in spades (I'm surrounded by Texans where I live in Arkansas. My husband and my neighbors).

These idiots have no clue that the reason Shrub has detractors is because he is a total idiot who has ruined our international reputation and is fast making us a world parriah.

went out hunting for Jesse James, he didn't capture Billy the Kid and say Mission Accomplished while the James Gang was still robbing and killing people.

Otherwise, picking insurgents from peaceful civilians would have been a piece of cake. White hat = good guy, black hat = bad guy.

What's appropriate for a poseur like Bush? Up here we would write a sarcastic letter to the editor.

11. Hmm. Cowboys "always get their man", but where the fuck is Osama?
I mean, really?

That is just one obvious problem with this website.

Most of it is just mindless, sycophantic drivel.

How can anyone be so naive and stupid?

12. The BS meter
Edited on Tue Dec-07-04 07:14 AM by Maestro
is off the charts. That place was disgusting.
It all goes back to what I believe. Rethuglicans vote for image not substance. They create these false idols and worship them without question.

Does the zealot that runs that site realize that not one of the "cowboys" is a real cowboy? It's all image. Oh and the moral values of some of those actors is very high indeed. /sarcasm/

What is scary is that if you can get to the bottom of the page the counter shows over 3 million hits unless I read wrong. That is a lot for some freak like this to generate!

13. That's my point.
So many people visit this site, and I'm sure they fall for the idolatry. Very similar to Christianity, which I'm sure was the aim. It's easier to paint things in black and white than actually think through the issues. sigh

14. His heroes were actors pretending to be cowboys
pretending to be righteous man, pretending to be heroic, pretending to have morals.

Puts his admiration in perspective: all you have to do is pretend and have a good set behind you for that guy to produce a website of worship.

That's our pantheon of mythical heroes. But he left out the Range Rider! God, I loved the Range rider (Jock Mahoney). He wore his buckskin shirt outside his pants, and not boots, but moccasins! He never mounted, but leaped from somewhere onto horseback.

And Paladin wore frilly shirts when he was back in...San Francisco. On the trail in that black outfit, he could have been one of the Village People. I think he got the outfit from Hoppy. Get it? Hoppy?!

32. John Wayne...
when asked why he couldn't be bothered with military service, said he would have gone in as a private, and that just wouldn't do.

When asked about the Indians, he said it was OK that we stole their land because they weren't doing anything with it anyway.

Makes sense that he's the first picture on this site.
