Faux News, Clear Channel sign agreement.

I susbcribe to the tvspy's ShopTalk listserv. In today's newsletter I read the following Blurb:

Fox News Signs Pact With Clear Channel

According to The Wall Street Journal, News Corp.'s Fox News has reached an agreement with Clear Channel Communications to become the primary news provider for the company's radio stations. The move gives Fox News a major push in leveling the playing field with both CBS Radio News and ABC Radio News. Fox News Radio began in 2003. The Fox News Radio service provides stations with hourly, one-minute news updates anchored by correspondents based at the Fox News Channel and are provided 24/7, much like the hourly newscasts from CBS and ABC. Fox News also offers breaking news updates, as do the two other networks. The deal with Fox News is not expected to affect Clear Channel News, an internal news feed service at the broadcaster. An official announcement is expected to be announced today. (Radio & Records)
