Anyone see Blackwell on Special Report last night?
Talking about the OH recount. Just laughing and smirkin' w/ Brit like they were two old buddies who had a secret.

He was basically saying that the recount was a waste of time and Ohioans money.

Is it really his place to say this? I consider a person in his position like a juror with a gag order until the case is closed. I can't believe people can't (won't) demand his head on a platter!

Made me sick.

1. He's certified the election...
as far as he's concerned... the case IS "closed".

2. I heard things got pretty heated at his office yesterday
in Columbus. I heard a bunch of protesters showed up, went upstairs to his office, and the police were called on them. One woman said that she was shoved by the cop, and they were told they'd be arrested if they didn't leave the building.

3. Not his money
The money for the recount is coming from donations.

5. Neither actually.
It isn't "his office" paying for anything (other than their own time) because the counties are doing all the work.

But it isn't "donations" either... since so far they're only paying that minimum amount per precinct. The actual cost of the recount will be much higher and will be carried by the counties themselves...

...but isn't that a fair price for democracy?

4. Well, in Missouri the Secretary of State just certified his own election
as Governor of the state. No conflict there.
